his
eyes red and puffy
he told you
that he
wasn't going
to
ever be worthy of
your perfection.
and all you
did
was walk away
you said it
hurt you
to be around
him
because you were too
exhausted to
keep caring for him
anymore.
did you
even stop to think
that
maybe he was exhausted too?
that maybe
he just really
needed someone
when
he felt so alone
in the world?
the thoughts
were like a wild
tornado.
he never was
able
to think straight
after
you left;
because he kept
wondering
how someone could
just
wake up and decide
they don't love
someone
anymore.
