it's okay.

she says that

a lot,

in fact so much

that she's starting

to believe the

lie.

she wants you to

know

about how she's

dying, she wants you to

hold her and protect

her.

but she doesn't

want to be pitied,

or viewed as a pathetic

scared

girl.

she'd much rather

have you believe

the lie,

so

she can protect

you from

the mess inside

of her

head.

she's sorry,

she's sorry that

she's so

consumed with

self-destruction.

but you don't know,

so

she feels even

more alone

in this dark

battle.

(A/N: so just so y'all know, we only have ten more poems before this book ends. and im really happy how this book turned out, i just wanted to create something that created some awareness about depression and how no matter how happy someone looks, they could be hurting deep down. be kind to everyone, cause we're all fighting battles, be that person who keeps a smile on there face at three am in the morning. anyway, hope y'all enjoy the rest of the book. I wish y'all the best of luck on life!)
