Four- Practices, Projects, and....Pericles?

Yay!☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️So I finally picked someone to play Anna! Maddie Ziegler! This is also an inspiration from my friend! And no that's not her actually name... Sorry Anna😥 -the actual one-. Hope you enjoy the chapter!💋💋💋

"Ok class, today we will start our Greek unit project." Mrs. Hanson stated handing us an outline. "This will be done in partners, and yes you can pick them. Please pick your partners and then come up to the front of the room and tell me who your partner is. You are required to have a partner on this project."

Caroline immediately came over to me from across the social studies classroom. "Partners?" Caroline asked me, even tough it was a question I could tell I didn't really have a choice, not that it mattered because I had wanted to be her partner anyway.

"Yep!" I said walking up to Mrs. Hanson's desk with Caroline.

"So how is everything?" Olivia said asking everyone at the table.

"Jessica and I are partners for the Greece project, I'm not sure if we are doing culture, history, or geography yet though." Caroline said to Olivia.

"When does Mrs. Hanson announce that?" I asked Caroline, or anyone else who happened to know.

"Well Sydney isn't here right now -she is talking to a teacher- but we are partners for the project too, Mrs. Hanson told us we would know tomorrow I think." Chloe said taking a bite of her pizza.

"Hello younger pupils!" Anna said coming over to our table with her friend Abby. "How are my favorite 5-7 graders?" Anna asked laughing. "Where is Sydney?"

"We're great! Carrot?" Claire asked trying to give Abby a carrot ignoring Anna's question. Abby pushed it away and we all laughed at Claire.

"Just eat your carrot, Claire." Lara said patting Claire's back as Claire fake-pouted and took a bite of the carrot rather angrily.

"Hey sorry I was late for- oh uhh hi Anna. Sorry I'm late, wanna go now?" Sydney asked coming in with her lunchbox and math notebook.

"Sure. Bye guys! Lara make sure you eat your apple! Mom will get mad if you don't!" Anna said disappearing through the cafeteria doors with Sydney.

"What is up with Sydney?" Avery asked, obviously she noticed that Sydney seemed different too.

"I don't know, Ms. Graph talked to her after math class she has been pretty quiet since." Chloe said realizing what she just said. "And.... She did say her mom got mad because she got a bad grade on a math quiz. Do you think..... Anna is tutoring her?" Chloe asked looking all around at the table add then at Lara.

"I don't know! Anna didn't say anything about tutoring anyone." Lara said slowly as the end of lunch bell rang.

"I will talk to her about it, she is probably a little embarrassed though." Chloe said picking up her lunchbox.

"Ok class, we are going to get new seats." Mr. Swan our science teacher said. Caroline looked over at me hopefully. It would be so cool to be lab partners with Caroline. As soon as Mr. Swan started calling out the lab partners I knew we weren't going to be partners, because all the partners were boy/girl partnerships.

"Caroline and Will." Mr. Swan said pointing to a desk in the back left corner. "And Jessica and Samuel." Samuel was the most popular boy in school, even the eight graders looked up to him. He was a jerk, to say the least. At least my desk was next to Caroline's. Oh and on more thing, he absolutely hated being called Samuel.

"Uhh hi." I said sitting in my seat next to Sam. "So your Samuel now?" I said laughing.

"Yeah don't call me that or I will ruin your life." Sam said secretly texting under the desk, only taking a second to give me a death glare.

"Ok then." I said looking over at Caroline and rolling my eyes, as if pleading for help.

"Regionals. This weekend is the last qualifier to get into regionals. Some of you I expect to make every regional cut, it's not very hard." Coach Will said look specifically at the sixth graders of the group. "So get a good workout in and work on your skills so you can do them this weekend." Coach Will said releasing us to do our warmup.

I got in the water and I could tell this was going to be a great practice.

"That was a great practice." Sydney said grabbing her towel and wiping off her face.

Everyone was silent. We were waiting for someone to ask she about what happened at lunch. Finally, after moments of silence, she spoke: "So, about lunch." Sydney said nervously.

"I uhh... I didn't want to tell you guys because I was embarrassed but, Anna is tutoring me in math." Sydney said as of waiting for us to throw tomatoes at her or disown her.

"We kind of assumed that." Claire said quietly. "But it's ok! We won't judge you just because you need a little help at math. I heard Ms. Graph is a hard teacher anyway." Claire said giving Sydney a hug.

"Welcome class, take your seats." Mrs. Hanson said as we all entered the room and sat down with our project partners. "So today we will pick topics. Culture, history, or geography." Mrs Hanson said showing us her famous top hat that we would pick the topics out of. She went down the smiles and every group picked a topic. I got really nervous the closer she got. Geography was probably the easiest topic because it was straight facts. History involved timelines and a lot of dates and little details, I really didn't want history.

"Caroline, pick for your group please." I crossed my fingers under the table as Caroline pulled out a folded index card. She handed it to me and I opened it. HISTORY it stated in Mrs. Hanson's handwriting.

"Ugh, history is so hard!" I said throwing my arms up and putting my head in the desk. Caroline laughed at me saying:

"It's not that bad! Greece history is really cool." Caroline said ensuring me it would be ok.

"Ok class, you have some time to work on your research now." Mrs. Hanson said as everyone began to research.

"Wanna come over after swimming to work on this?" I asked Caroline.

"Sure."

OMG I AM SOOOOO SORRY!!! YOU ALL DONT DESERVE THIS. I know it's really short, but hey, at least I got a chapter out! I think that was a mini case of writer's block. Hopefully I am over it now and will continue to write long and edited chapters! I hope you enjoyed it even though it's short!💋💋💋 BTW Claire's emoji will be changed to a cat and Lara's will be changed to a donut!💋💋💋
