( Y/N POV: )

out of the time i spent with the agency i happened to grow the closest with kunikida, yosano, and sometimes ranpo, as he would always put in his input in the conversations yosano had with me. today, i heard him moan and slouch in his chair. " what's got you so bummed out today ranpo?" i asked curiously. unlucky for me, he was about to tell me the reason. " im too lazy to walk across the street to buy some snacks..can you do it for me y/n?"

after fifteen minutes of him bugging me, i decided to finally give in. i took the money and headed to the closest corner store. i also made sure to get mostly sweets but some salty treats as ranpo asked. after this, i cashed out at the cash register and picked up my new bag as i walked out. suddenly, as i was on my way back to the agency, i heard some noise. i took another route to see where the noise was coming from and when i got there....

i saw akutagawa. this made me immediately drop ranpo's bag and hide.

as i squinted harder, i could see rashomon grip atsushis figure with kyouka looking up at the man. i figured he was going to bring the both of them to the vessel at sea. quickly making the decision that i would follow him, i took shelter every time i suspected the man would turn his head.

time started to pass faster and faster but soon akutagawa was almost there. when the vessel came into my vision that's when one thought came into my mind. 

how the heck am i going to get on that stupid boat? there's probably some annoying guard there too.

( THIRD PERSON POV: )

akutagawa walked on without being stopped, now you were going to wait about five minutes for your turn while you sat in some other bushes.

...

alright..now it was your turn.

you walked on board to where a guard was standing. you didn't think through the fact that workers probably knew you were with their rival organization before and honestly you kind of regretted not doing so.

" y/n right?"

you looked up at the guard, shocked. " oh yeah! it's been awhile since i been with you on a mission. where you been?" the man asked. this is when you remembered lower ranks dont really get blessed with the most important information so the measly guard likely didn't know about your position.

" oh you know! just the usual, ive been feeling sick lately." you chuckled as you scratched the back of your head. technically, it wasn't a lie. it's not like your mental well-being was remotely close to healthy, he just assumed you were talking your physical health. it wasn't your fault he made such an assumption.

" alright, well of course i know that you're not an enemy. i assume the boss must have sent you on short notice so go ahead and pass." the man bowed in respect to you and guided inside the ship with his hand.
