Yeji's P.O.V:
After hearing all those details from Ryujin, I couldn't wait to meet my family. Once we reached our house, I wasted no time. I ran and quickly opened the door. Thankfully both Lia and Yuna were in the hall. I think they may be ready to go out. Fortunately, we were on time, or else I might have missed catching them. I ran towards Lia and hugged her "I miss you". But she didn't reply or bothered to hug me back. I was shocked but still, she didn't pull me out of the hug. So it is Okay. I felt safe and at home again. I missed this feeling for quite some time.
Suddenly my daughter pouted, "Mom, Don't you miss me?".
I smiled at her and moved to her side to give her a sweet hug, "Of course, I missed you too dear."
She returned my hug with a bright smile. From her facial expression, I could understand how much she missed me for the past months and how happy she is right now. Wow. I missed them a lot. I must be stupid to forget them. I scolded myself for forgetting them and also causing trouble for my dear friend Ryujin.
Suddenly I heard the front door opening sound. I turned my head to see it was Lia. My heart shattered like glass. She didn't reciprocate my hug or speak with me. Now she left the house without a single word leaving all of us here confused. Maybe I might break her heart for the past 8 months, just like she ignored me now. But I couldn't handle the pain of separating from her. I want to shout and run back to her. But I felt weak. And my tears start to block my vision. I am sure I will cry at any moment. Ryujin might notice it quickly. She came closer to me and patted my shoulders to comfort me. I looked at her face, and she gave me a weak smile.
"We missed you a lot, Mom. Thanks for coming back." Yuna hugged me again and kissed me on my cheeks. I felt lite with her actions. Sure my daughter knows how to comfort others. My tears just disappeared and soon it was replaced with a smile. We shared a few minutes in silence.
I have a lot of questions running inside my mind. I want to know each and everything that has happened in our lives over the past 8 months. Surely I missed a lot. I have to check with Ryujin later and I need to compromise with Lia soon. I couldn't bear her ignorance just once, But she faced the same for 8 months. I felt terrible.
"So where were you planning to go today? I saw both you and Mommy ready to go somewhere this early. Luckily Ryujin Drives us quickly, else we might miss catching you." I asked and looked at my daughter.
"Actually we planned to go to the beach today. But don't worry mom, even if you came late here you wouldn't miss us." She replied with a bright smile.
"How?" I asked her in surprise.
"Because Mommy promised to take me to the beach today, Only to meet you. So we were ready to meet you. Luckily you came home a bit early."
I looked at Ryujin's face and asked "Is it true?"She nodded her head with a smile. I felt surprised.
"Mom, did you forget we had a meeting scheduled today?" She asked with a sad tone.
"Oh... Sorry, dear. I couldn't remember anything that happened after that accident. And It hurts my head a lot whenever I try to remember anything." I said apologetically.
"It's Okay Mom. We don't have any special memories to remember from the past 8 months. I am glad you are back. Now we can fill that gap with more beautiful memories." She said with an excited sound.
I love to see her smile. She is cute. I was focused on adoring her cuteness, and suddenly my stomach made a noise.
"Mom, did you eat your breakfast?" She asked with concern. I nodded my head from left to right.
"Ryujin aunty, why didn't you give my mom food before fetching her here," she asked Ryujin with a bit of a high tone.
"Hey, why are you shouting at her? I was the one asking her to bring me here as soon as possible. It's not her fault. So apologies to her quickly." I commanded my daughter.
She flinched at my reply, not expecting me to scold her like this. Because I never scolded her before. But I should discipline my daughter to respect elders' rights. "Sorry, aunty. I didn't mean to shout at you." She apologizes to her looking down at the ground.
"Oh, It's Okay baby," Ryujin Replied and hugged my daughter who was still looking at the ground.
"Hey Yeji, There is no need to scold Yuna like this. She is more caring towards you. That's why she asked why I didn't give you breakfast. So don't scold her again like this Okay? And moreover, we became best buddies in the past few months, so don't you dare to hurt my buddy again. Did you get it?" Ryujin Replied, looking at me.
I looked at both Ryujin and Yuna repeatedly. "So definitely I missed a lot in the past months. Now my best friend and daughter become best buddies. And even she threatens me to not scold my own daughter. Life is so unfair. Sorry, Yuna and sorry Ryujin." I said with a blank tone. They both looked at me with nervous faces.
"So now all settled, right?" I said and started to tickle both of them. And on the return, they started to tickle me. We 3 started to laugh out loud until another sound escaped from my stomach.
"Mom, let's eat first. I know you both were hungry. Mommy made some breakfast for you. Since we planned to meet you today. Come." She drags me to the kitchen.
"Mommy cooks breakfast?" I asked her again.
"Yes, Mom. She was the one who cooks daily for the past few months. Sometimes I help her a little. But don't expect it to be tasty Okay." She said with a smile and handed me and Ryujin a plate.
We started to eat. It was tastier than expected. Back in those days, she didn't like cooking. She would avoid it as much as possible entering the kitchen. But I heard her friends praising her for her cooking skills during hostel days. Whenever I ask her to cook she will avoid it for any cost. It's really delicious.
Once we are done with our breakfast, "So what's the plan today ladies?" I asked them.
"Nothing much, I will pack your things at my home and deliver them later today. And gonna take a break like forever till I feel tired of taking rest." Ryujin Replied.
I shook my head in disappointment and looked at Yuna. She didn't say anything, "So, how about hanging out today? Three of us... maybe to the beach as we planned before?" I asked.
Yuna starts to jump in the air. "Wow, super mom. I am in," she shouted. We both looked at Ryujin. I don't think she will change her plan.
"Aunty please," Yuna asked with her cute eyes, damn sure no one can escape my daughter's cuteness. Finally, Ryujin Agreed to the plan.
"Since I caused the mess for 8 months, It's my treat," I said excitedly before going inside my room to fetch my wallet and money.
