It was like a dream

Yeji 's P.O.V:

Once we were done with my regular hospital appointment, we were on the way to the beach. It was quite far away from our house, so it will take a couple of hours to reach there. Luckily my regular checkup finished as quickly as we expected. So Yuna was too excited. We used to hang out more frequently. So she might miss this feeling for a while. I just wanted to return all their happiness as soon as possible.

Ryujin was driving the car, while I and Yuna were sitting in the back seat. I wanted to sit in the front passenger seat, but Yuna wanted us to sit in the back seat. So apparently Ryujin forced me to sit backside. Now I became more curious about their buddy thing than anything else. Ryujin played one of my favourite playlists in the car, we were enjoying the music filled inside the car. I have a lot of questions running inside my mind for both Ryujin and Yuna. But I don't want to ruin this moment. So I kept quiet.

After some hours of silence except for the music playing, Yuna dropped her head on my shoulders. I looked at her, she was asleep. She looks so cute while sleeping. I adjusted both of us to make her sleep comfortable on my lap.

When I was busy admiring Yuna's face Ryujin broke the silence between us. "Is she sleeping?"

"Yes, she is. She looks cuter while sleeping." I replied to her with a smile.

"Of course, My buddy is always cute. You know right," she replied while turning off the playlist to assure Yuna will sleep in peace.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot that point. I need your explanation about your buddy's things. Care to spill it?" I asked Ryujin .

"Yah! Why should I explain my relationship with you? I won't spill it." Ryujin replied with a smirk.

We fell into silence for a minute, and after that, I said "Okay." Ryujin didn't continue the argument. She was currently focusing on the road. So I put on my headphones and lean against the car window to listen to my favorite music.

Suddenly I remembered Lia's diary I took from our house and started to read it. In the first few pages, it was some old stories which we already sorted out. Since I was most curious to know all the information I turned to the last page and checked it from the last written page. It has so many entries, almost an entry for each day. 'Is she feeling very lonely lately?' I wondered to myself. I felt pity for making her feel like that.

After some bundles of paper, I found that date. The day I met with an accident which turned our life upside down. It was our anniversary day, I was on my way to meet her when that accident happened. 

I vividly remember those memories. I was waiting for her to get home early cause I already asked her to take a half-day leave to celebrate our anniversary with our family. But she said she was stuck with work. So I planned to surprise her at her workplace. When I was almost near her workplace I saw a familiar person in the cafe nearby. It was her favorite cafe, So I decided to force her to take a break and spend some time in that Cafe just like those couples. I smiled at my plan and looked at those couples, then I realized It was Lia with one of her colleagues. I was confused by that sight. 'She already knows I hate that woman a lot, but why is she spending her time with her instead of me? Did she forget it was our anniversary?'

I decided to call her, "Hello darling."

"Hi, Lia. Are you busy now?" I replied to her with a blank expression.

"No darling or Love, It's bad you know it right? Anyways Yes I have some pending work Love. I think it will take some more time" she replied to me in her sweet voice.

"Where are you now?" I asked her again to make her confess the truth.

"Obviously In the Office dear. Do you need anything?" she replied with the same sweet voice.

"Liar." with that I cut that call. My eyes started to tear. She looked back and noticed my car, she quickly made her move towards the door. I wasted no time. I started the car to leave the place immediately. She tried to call me repeatedly and I kept ignoring her calls. I spent some time alone in the park to clear my mind. After some hours, I noticed it's getting late so I planned to return home. On my way back home, My car was hit by a truck. The moment of that accident started to flash in my mind. Crashing with the truck, breaking sound of the glass windows and horn sound during the sudden accident. With a trembling hand I lost my grip on that dairy it felt near my foot. I remembered that ambulance sound near my ears and somebody taking me in the structures towards the ambulance. At the last moment, I wish to see Yuna one last time and give her a tight hug. Everything flashed in my mind like a daydream. I am crying like a mess. Suddenly I felt the car was stopped and the car door was opened revealing Ryujin with a worried face.

She looked like she was crying, and she wasted no time comforting me. She pulled me for a tight hug and mumbled "I am extremely sorry for not paying attention and ignoring You."

I cried into her shoulders while she patted my back. After a few minutes, I calmed down and broke that hug. She still looks worried about me. I feel blessed to have at least one who cares about my feelings.
