It was like a dream

Lia is happily preparing coffee for her and her wife Yeji in the kitchen. Suddenly she felt someone standing behind her. "Lia." Yeji called her in a low voice. Quickly she recognised the familiar voice and turned to face Yeji while handing her a cup of coffee.
But Yeji ignored the coffee cup and hugged her while saying "I am Sorry." She hugged her a bit tightly and said , "No, I am sorry." They both had a sorry battle for a while and Lia went silent to feel Yeji's presence. It feels home for her.
Once Lia hugged her tightly, Yeji felt like home. Once they embraced each other, they both felt more than happy to reunite with each other.

Lia released their hug to see Yeji's face. "Why are you crying baby? It's okay. Don't cry." she said while wiping her face.

"I am sorry." She said with a sobbing.

"For what?" Lia asked.

"I am sorry for doubting you. I am sorry for hurting you. I am sorry for ignoring you. And more than anything I am sorry for forgetting you." She said with teary eyes.

"Hey Yeji, cool baby. It's not only your mistake. I was the one who lied to you first. It all happened because of that one lie. So I am the only one who is accountable for everything. You didn't make any mistakes. Please don't cry, it's hurt to see you cry. And for the forgetting part, it wasn't in your hands. It was because of the accident. So there's no need for sorry. Please don't cry baby." Lia said again while holding Yeji's cheeks.

"Am I forgiven?" Yeji asked her with soft eyes.

"There is no need for it. But still yes. You are forgiven for everything. You are such a cry baby." Lia said with a smile.

"Then what is this?" Yeji wiped her tears with her fingers and asked her. "If I am a cry baby, then what are you? Crying in silence makes you smile baby?" Yeji asked her with a chuckle.

"No I am not crying." Lia defended.

"Then what is the reason behind these tears? Are your eyes getting sweaty?" Yeji asked her in a teasing tone.

"I am feeling overwhelmed to reunite with you. I miss these feelings. The past eight months were like a nightmare. I wake up everyday expecting you to be by my side. Expecting us to spend some quality time and have some small chit-chat like we used to do before. But once I open my eyes everything is gone. I am alone and waiting for you to notice me at least once a day. I just expected a small 'Hi' from you. But it never happened. Sorry I don't want to ruin this beautiful moment by revealing the past." Lia said while wiping her tears.

Yeji held her hands and looked at her eyes and said, "I know I hurt you a lot in the past. Please forgive me. I am sorry. Let's forget the past like a dream. Just like an uncomfortable nightmare. Let's create more beautiful memories to replace them." Yeji said with a beautiful smile

"Yes, it was like a dream." Lia said with a beautiful smile and hugged her wife Yeji.
