"Miss me?" a taunting voice mocked from the entrance of the room to reveal a smirking Kai at the entrance of the room, casually leaning against the wall.
"You." Damon spat, with venom-like bitterness in his voice.
"You look awfully happy to see me, Damon. Long time no see." he narrowed his eyes at him.
In an instant, Damon used his super speed to get closer to Kai.
"Alaric!" Damon yelled.
"On it," he grabbed a black duffle bag, taking out a vampire hunting gun.
With just one lift of his hand, Kai had both of them holding their heads groaning in pain on their knees.
"I guess you forgot. You know- the whole me absorbing a bit of Jo's magic and all," he grabbed Damon by the hair, whispering in his ear before kicking him back down.
I stood their watching in horror. My body froze in both utter shock and fear.
"...Kai. Don't." Jo said, her glossy blue eyes now open from the ruckus.
"Relax, sissy. I'm not here for you." He leered, his eyes staring deep within my soul as he slowly began to close the distance between us. My skin crawled with the goosebumps at the man standing in front of me gave me.
Jo was too weak to reply and Alaric and Damon were still on the ground; their heads throbbing and voices croaking out in pain.
"I'm here for you." his mischievous smile widened, as he grabs my wrist holding it up in the air.
My heart pounded violently. He wanted me. Me. His deep ocean blue eyes pierced mine, taking my breath.
"....if you want my power you're mistaken." I managed to scurry up the courage to say, yanking my wrist with no resolve. My heart still raced, now more than ever and his clutch on my wrist did not budge.
He laughed maniacally before drawing a knife and piercing my stomach with the sharp object without any hesitation.
"You sociopath," I cringed in pain, holding the area in the middle of my stomach where the knife had penetrated my skin. The blood staining my white shirt bright red.
As I collapsed to the floor, I remember vividly the sight of Kai smirking in pleasure as he watched the pain flow through my skin.
My eyes felt heavier and I was losing consciousness because of the blood that continue to pour out of the wound like an overfilled glass of water. Both warmth and pain quickly spread through my body and I was no long able to see anything.
When I awoke I found myself on a hard couch. I rubbed my head, slowly sitting up to make it less painful but that didn't stop me from groaning in pure ache and agony.
"Good morning, sunshine" Kai said with a sly grin and wave.
"You're the last person I want to wake up to." I glared at him.
How could he act so casual? After stabbing and then kidnapping me? He was a sociopath. He had no guilt, remorse, or sympathy.
I rose in attempt to look him in the eye but found myself tumbling back down on the couch involuntarily.
"Woah, woah, woah. Slow down. You might hurt yourself." He mocked innocently.
"And who's fault is that?" I retorted, wincing. He watched in utter amusement and content.
"Take your shirt off. I need to heal you."
"What? So not only are you a sadistic sociopath but you're also a pervert? Great." I said sarcastically.
