Kai lie on the floor, groaning in pain. A figure stood behind him.

"Liv! What are you doing?!"

Jeremy ran towards the girl who had stabbed Kai only to be sent flying in the air with her chants.

"Thanks, sis. That was harsh."

"Shut up."

"Phesmatus!" She continued to cause him pain.

He clenched his hand, bending down on his knees in agony.

I grabbed the metal pipe that Kai had ripped out of his flesh earlier while I snuck behind her.

"Motus."

She narrowed her eyes before sending me flying to the other side of the room and forcing Kai down with aneurysm. He groaned in pain, holding his head.

Liv looked back at me to make sure I was down. Kai took this chance to send a fork flying to her neck. She cried out in pain and pulled the silverware, tossing it to the wooden floor.

I crawled towards Jeremy,"are you okay?"

He was slowly opening his eyes but still seemed confused as hell.

"Stop it! Stop it, Kai!"

I turned to look at the scene, blood dripping from my head, to see Kai drenching his sister in a bottle of clear liquor.

"Just kill me, Kai."

Her voice softens. Liv stares at her brother from below, who was holding a lit candle out.

"You already killed my best friend. So just do it. Get it over with."

Liv's tone of voice becomes coarse as she grits her teeth between the words. I watch all of the emotions running through Kai's face. He can't do it, can he? Kai was hesitating because he literally couldn't do it. His saddened expression was triggered by the Lucas in him. But, the old Kai would've killed his dying little sister in a heartbeat.

"Why can't I do this?" He mumbled, extending his arm out again with no success.

"I don't care about you," Kai's voice cracks.

"Why can't I kill her? Come on, Kai. Do it. Do it."

Kai was beginning to lose his patience. He stared at the girl who was reduced motionless on the ground. She was vulnerable and bleeding but this time no one was in the way as Jo was years ago. No one but him, himself.

"Come on!!!!" He slapped himself repeatedly, yelling in both anger and frustration.

"Kill her!"

"Motus!"

Liv realized that Kai wouldn't be able to do it and sends the fork that was lodged in her neck earlier, to his chest driving him backwards with a thud.

"Kai! No!" I screamed racing to his side.

Jeremy was now up and hastily reaches for a butter knife nearby and aims at Liv's shoulder. She groaned in pain before falling back. Jeremy grabbed the ascendant.

I looked down at Kai who was staring at the ceiling in defeat before wrapping my hand around the fork that was deep in his chest cavity.

"Just breathe." I pulled the fork out of his chest, causing him to wince in pain.

"We have to get him out of here."

Jeremy nodded and pulled Kai up, dragging him the the next room where Kai collapsed to the floor again.

"Send me back," he grabbed Kai's collar.

"Jeremy are you even listening to yourself? Kai is hurt..."

"Send me back, Kai." He ignored me.

"Jeremy, look at me. I'm half dead."

"I need to stop Bonnie."

"Okay."

"Kai... You can't! You're not strong enough right no--"

"I have to do it."

He looked at me, his eyes full of seriousness. He knew that this was the only way for anyone to ever forgive him. He would do anything even if it meant risking his own life.

Jeremy passed him the ascendant but I put my hand over his.

"Wait."

I close my eyes, and a bright light begins flashing on and off.

"It's not much... And well, your wounds aren't healed but you won't feel as much pain so.."

I whispered to him with a small, encouraging smile.

He began to chant, "phesmatos tribum doshio cabam seromumio."

Soon, Kai's tired eyes began to close and his breathing became slower. His magic was being drained and his body had gone numb and fatigue.

"Kai...? No... No.. Kai?" I pulled him close.

"Wait... If Jeremy is alive then--" I scattered across from me and crawled to Jeremy.

"Jeremy?" I called out, gulping.

"Jeremy.. Please?" I squeezed his hand.

I held my tears before crawling back to Kai's side, closing my eyes while holding him. Damon and Elena showed up at the door.

"They won't wake up..." I looked up at them with sad eyes.

"No, no, no" Damon said in frustration before Elena raced to Jeremy's side.

"Jeremy. Jeremy. Hey! Jeremy!" She slapped his face. "Wake up."

She shakes her little brother in hopes that his eyes would soon open up again. Damon shook Kai, also wishing for the same thing. He didn't care for the poor bastard, but he knew he needed him to stick around.

"Kai." He grunted, before biting his wrist and feeding Kai his blood.

Finally, he opened his eyes and inhaled fresh air.

"Kai..." I murmured.

"Jeremy, wake up! Jer, wake up." Elena gritted her teeth only to be relieved by the sight of Jeremy reopening his eyes.

"I'm okay."

Bonnie... Is she?" Elena looks at him with hopeful eyes.

"I saw her. She's gonna be okay."

Elena pursed her lips before smiling in relief.
