Rose and Dimitri walked back to their apartment. Which was only a 5 minute walk away from Lissa. Their apartment was a 2 bedroom 1 bath type of place. Rose and loved it and as long as Rose was happy so was Dimitri.
Rose hadn't been home in 2 years and the place looked a little bit different. It seemed like someone had neglected to shine some light on the place. Rose ripped open the curtains letting the light flood the small space. The apartment immediately looked nicer.
Dimitri hugged Rose from behind as they both looked around the living room.
"I have something for you." Dimitri said as he ran to their room. He came back out with 2 boxes covered in wrapping paper.
"You missed 2 birthdays." He said sheepishly. Rose was smiling and was about to open the first box when her face went blank. Dimitri knew that look, she was with Lissa...but...that was impossible. The bond was broken. When Rose finally came back to earth she looked determined.
"Where's my stake?" She asked. Dimitri quickly grabbed it from a hallway closet. Once it was Rose's hand she was ready.
"Lissa's in trouble! There's an attack in her office, not strigoi." They went into action. Dimitri called Hans. When sprinting they could get to Lissa in about 2 minutes. The Guardians in front of her office were dead. No apparent sign of death.
Rose, Dimitri and 7 other Guardians went into the office ready to defend the queen.
*I'm nit all that good at writing fight scenes so here's a quick run down. Lissa was in a corner her guardians were down. The attackers weren't strigoi or guardians. Also Rose kicked butt ;)*
Lissa was shaken up. Rose consoled her as best as she could. The bodies were taken off to be examined. Each of the attackers had a mask. After clean up Dimitri pulled Rose off to the side.
"I don't want any fake answers. I want real ones. How did you know Lissa was in trouble?" Dimitri asked searching Rose's face for answers. Rose sighed.
"We need to talk to Lissa and Christian about this." Rose said. Sparky was already in the crime scene. Hugging Lissa.
Rose had Lissa, Christian, and Dimitri sit down in the living room. She sighed.
"The reason I was so angry when I woke up is because I was trying to fight off spirit. It just overwhelmed me." Rose paused and Christian jumped in.
"How we're you dealing with spirit? I thought the bong was gone." He asked.
"The bond is back I'm getting a lot of spirit backlash."
