Rodia—a planet of diverse green swatches due to its swamps, jungles, and oceans—had experienced a major economic boost under the Empire due to its major exports: weapons and bounty hunters. The world's ideal position between the Corellian Run and Old Corellian Run hyperspace routes ensured the world brimmed with space traffic. Rodia's landscape reminded visitors of an impressionist painting with its countless islets covered in thich trees and chartreuse clouds. Its sprawling cities of angular stone buildings with blue domes, elaborate metalwork, and terrace gardens had purple bioluminescent vines adorning them. Transparent environmental shields controlled starship access while protecting the citizens from the climate's extreme heat and humidity. All interstellar travel had to land in Equator City, the largest city on the planet, and its former capital.

The Outcast had no problem getting permission to land on Equator City—the former capital—thanks to Elynn's forged chain code which identified the Outcast as a freelance cargo freighter, transporting fuel for sale.

A lanky Rodian in orange overalls came out of the docking bay office. "Problems with the ship?" He noted the missing ventral quad laser cannon and the damage to the hull.

"You seem to have a problem with pirates around these sectors," Syrran said.

"You can say that again, stranger. How long are you docking for?"

"A few days."

"Need fuel?"

"No, but we need parts. Our engineer will take care of our landing fees and fill you in on what we want." Syrran pointed at Gorin as the rest of the crew headed toward the exit.

"Alright, big guy. Hit me." The Rodian writhed his hands.

"Can you get aftermarket parts?" Gorin said.

"For a YT-1300? You might as well be in Corellia, boss—if you have the credits."

"Good. Then, I need a quad laser cannon for the ventral turret," Gorin counted with his gingers, "five turbonic venturi power assimilators, as many cryogenic density combustion boosters, four Replar-640 dynamic repulsorlift system engines, four power converters—do you know a good metallurgist?"

"You mean for your hull?"

"Yeah. Those panels are made from reinforced impervium laminated with agrinium."

"Well, that's going to costly, but I know just they guy. Anything else?"

"A few astromechs to give me a hand. Four of them. R3s if possible... Oh, and can your guy get a hold of some cortosis?"

"Cortosis? What for?"

"I have a project I'm working on."

"That's got to be some project. How much?"

"An ingot's worth."

The Rodian rubbed the back of his head. "I think I can help you. Why don't you fill out the landing form while I go into the office to order your parts?" He gave Gorin his datapad and went into his office.

Out in the city, the rest of the crew walked down Kay-Tap square, with its open spaces, thriving market, beautiful architecture, and local flora.

"No wonder Leeto wanted to leave Level 1313; Rodia is beautiful." Elynn craned her neck to take in as much as she could. "I'd love to know if he actually made it here after all." It had been months since she had said good-bye to her Rodian best friend in Coruscant. He had told her he would be heading to his homeworld after the attempt on the Emperor's life had cooled down.

"I'd love to get a hold of some of these plants." Theleema held the glowing bulb of a nearby vine.

"We should take some R&R after what we've been through in the last few days," Addia said.
