"Luke thank god you can do this. Hunter's a pretty good kid, he won't be too bad, he doesn't like the dark so don't turn off a light, he really likes ice cream so you shouldn't let him have too much. If you set him in front of a television he won't move for hours, so limit it to maybe an hour and a half, probably less. You can take him to the park-" Luke stopped Michael's rant by pressing a finger to his mouth, effectively shushing him. "Mikey, babe, if I need help with something, I can ask Hunter. You said he was a good kid, so I'll trust his word. Now get off to your interview, we don't want you being late. Say bye to Hunter then get going!"

Truth be told, Luke was scared out of his mind that he'd somehow hurt Hunter and he'd be back to square one with Michael. He was lost in his thoughts until he felt a tug at his skinny jeans. He looked down and saw Hunter, his shoes on. "We go park?" He asked cutely. Luke couldn't resist his face, so agreed. He locked the house with the key Michael gave him and started the walk to the park.

Luke carried Hunter, as he knows Michael would've had a heart attack if he had somehow found out Luke wasn't being what he thought as protective. A few girls blushed and twirled their hair, looking at Luke, but stopped when they saw him holding a child. They thought Hunter was his, and they immediately searched for his wife or girlfriend. "Hey, Hunt, do you wanna go play or do you want me to push you on the swings?" Hunter wiggled slightly, trying to get out of Luke's arms, repeating, "Swing," over and over, so Luke assumed he wanted to be pushed.

Hunter ran to the swings and held up his arms, waiting to be lifted into the swing. Luke settled him in and began pushing him. The boy squealed, wanting to go higher and higher. Luke stopped pushing momentarily and turned for a moment, only to hear a gut-wrenching scream come from the small boy.
