The next day, Luke woke up early and decided to walk over to Michael's house. He still has the keys Michael had given him when he babysat Hunter, and he used those now to get inside. It was about nine o'clock, so Luke wanted to make breakfast. He looked around the kitchen, finding ingredients for pancakes and getting a pan out.
He started cooking, trying his best to stay quiet so they wouldn't wake up, but it didn't work as planned. Apparently Hunter is a light sleeper, so he woke up and wandered out to the kitchen, noticing Luke almost immediately. "Luke!" Hunter shouted. He turned around and shushed the boy, trying to not wake Michael up. "Your uncle Mikey's still sleeping, we have to be quiet." Luke whisper-shouted.
"Luke!" Hunter whispered, making Luke laugh. "I'm making breakfast for you and uncle Michael, what do you and him like to eat?" Hunter sat on the floor, watching Luke, and replied, "Bacon and pancakes." Luke picked Hunter up and set him in a chair with strict instructions to not wiggle or move too much so he wouldn't fall off. "Okay, I can do that. Let's get to it, shall we?" He put Hunter back down on the ground for a moment so he could get Luke the pancake mix they like and bacon from the fridge. "Okay, Hunter, we have to be quiet so we don't wake Uncle Mikey up."
"Too late." Luke heard a raspy voice from behind them. He slowly turned around to see a shirtless Michael. "Sorry Mikey, I wanted to do something special but I guess I messed up, huh?" Michael walked further into the kitchen and hugged Luke. "It's fine love, but I think we could all use some sleep, so we can do this later on in the morning." Michael put the stuff back where it was supposed to go and picked up Hunter, holding a hand out for Luke. They walked up the stairs and Michael put Hunter back to bed, then walked with Luke to Michael's room. He and Luke lied down, and within minutes both were sleeping.
