"So, you didn't know, who were those kidnappers?" A cop questioned Naren, who stood completely terrified.
"N-No! I was s-scared and escaped from there!" Stupid. He is a boar. Seriously a boar. How could he lie? He himself pushed me towards the kidnappers.
"This is not good Mr. Acharya, you should have called for help. Thank god that her Bodyguard came on time!"
My eyes drifted to the largest personality of all the ones standing in my room. And the past fifteen minutes, since the inspector started the interrogation, his eyes didn't drift even for a microsecond from me. Yes, I was feeling uneasy with his look that said if we both were alone he would have eaten me. Indeed, butterfly sensations began in my small stomach.
Well, I regained consciousness long ago when Maan and Shaurya were speaking about me. But I found the convo between Sharuya and Veer suspicious. Something is going on. All I could hear is about a person, Manav Das. Whoever he is, it seems like he did great damage to Shaurya. He killed a person related to Shaurya.
"Miss Mehra!"
"Huh!" I turn my head towards the cop.
"You definitely don't remember anything?" He asked the umpteenth time and my reply was the same.
"No!" I lied. I do remember every scenario of a party, though I was down three vodka shots. I can recall the male washroom memories. What Shaurya spat on me. And then how Naren tricked me. Shaurya is a secondary topic and what he did is unforgivable, I don't think there is any room for Shaurya in my life. I decided to end everything with him and move on.
And for now, I should deal with Naren. Currently, he is in a relaxing mood, assuming no one knew about his vicious brain.
"If you remember anything, just phone us. It may help us to find them!" I nodded.
Officers were the first ones to leave, later Brother Iklav went out to discuss my discharge with doctors. The way he showed his anxiety regarding my abduction, made me happy with the thought that there is someone in my family who are worried about me. Arav came just a few minutes ago, and he still appeared tipsy.
"I need to speak with Naren, personally," I announced and glared at Shaurya before giving a smooth glance to Arav and Maan.
"I can't leave you alone!" As expected Shaurya objected.
"He can't harm me when he knew that there is my bodyguard and inspectors standing out, right Naren!" I asked and gave him a fake, flat smile. He nodded masking his fright with a faint smile. "And why would he hurt me?"
Maan pulled Arav along with him out of the room. Shaurya gave a death glare at Naren before stepping out.
"Baby, I am sorry. I shouldn't have left you alone!" I sat straight, jumped out of that nasty hospital bed, and sprinted toward him.
"Bullshit. You Asshole. I remember everything. How could you trick me? You know, I can easily arrest you. But I knew your mother is a single mother and dependent on you. Why did you do this?" He looked terrified watching me and took a few steps back. "Answer me!" I grabbed the knife from the fruit basket on the tea table and directed the tip against his heart. "Who is the one behind this all? You know right what will happen even if I say to my Bodyguard!"
He shook his head in fear and begged, "I will tell you everything, please don't say to anyone!" I nodded my head but still held the knife against his heart. "Saira. I-I seriously dunno, who he is. I just received a call. He asked me to give updates about you, like when you will come and leave the uni. Then suddenly he said to make you fall for me so that he can kidnap you on your birthday and in exchange he gave me a lot of money! He knew everything about you and. He. Wants. you." As the words slipped out of his mouth, a chill of fright ran through my spine, and for a moment my brain got blocked. "But, I found that work hard because Shaurya never left your side. It was my task to divert Shaurya's attention. I tried everything and only kissing you was left. And it worked out. He left you alone. Then you both fought and were available to be abducted."
