Shaurya switched on the light and dropped to his knees beside me, helplessly. He grabbed me in his embrace and pulled out the paper crumb from my mouth.
"Shaurya, we have to catch him. He came to steal something from mama's study."
"What? I thought he is your kidnapper or his member."
"No, Shaurya. He was not my kidnapper!" I cut the black plaster wound around my wrist with my teeth and meanwhile, he phoned security. "Chase that bastard!" he demanded before cutting the call.
"Did he harm you!" He cupped my cheek and scanned concerned.
"AHH!" We heard a scream from the other side of the estate.
"I will go and check!" Shaurya informed and jumped out of the window.
I can't leave him alone, so I tore my gown on my right side from mid-thigh to ankle, so that I can run without any trouble. Then I jumped out of the window to chase Shaurya. I was surprised to see Ashok lying on the floor. There was a cut on the back of his left hand, which Shaurya covered with his hankie. "Shaurya someone jumped out of that window I tried to stop him but he attacked me and ran to that side," as soon as he mentioned that Shaurya ran in that direction along with the other guards.
I made him sit on the floor. "Where is Zainab?"
Simultaneously she came over there and screamed taking the image of the scene, "Oh my God, Ashok!"
Rudhra came next to her, he had no minimum courtesy to ask me or his brother about our wellness. He intermittently glanced between Ashok and the window, from where the robber fled.
One after the other everyone gathered over there. Rudhra took Ashok and Zainab with him after bidding their farewell to us. Everyone from my family has left already, except my father and his wife. Veer brought me some water to drink. "You are here, then who dropped to Preeth?"
"She left with your twin, Arav!" he replied, displaying quite a despair. Maybe he didn't find Preet leaving with Arav acceptable.
Papi made me sit on a chair, "Saira, how this all happened?" then he glared at Dharam and Naveed Sahab, "Why did you leave her side?"
"Papi. I dismissed them. I thought the villa will be safe but when I heard voices coming from Mama's study I thought to check by myself."
"You do you keep acting like a hero every time," he scolded me. "You could have made a call to me or Shaurya."
"I kept my mobile in my room, Papi."
Huffing vigorously, Shaurya came back to the garden, and announced, "We got him. But it seems like he hit his head against the stone while running. Currently, he is unconscious. We called the ambulance."
"Who can he be?"
Shaurya swept his gaze to others and replied "let's discuss later!" The way he responded seemed like, he knew who was that stealer.
"Saira. Are you alright, my dear?" that query was from my father.
"Let's go to the room," I informed Shaurya and grabbed his hand.
"Saira! Stop avoiding me. I am your father."
"Oh really!" I let out a dry, hurtful chuckle and glanced at Shaurya, "Did you listen he said, he is my father?" So father do you even know the count of how many times your daughter got attacked?" I waited for a second, he was about to respond when I cut him, "No. You have no count. Because you have no concern about me. All you did is, hire me a bodyguard. Did you sit anytime with me? Did you ask what I like? You forced me to sign that modeling contract without showing a concern that your daughter loves it or not. That manager used to look with a dirty gaze to me and you have no knowledge of it
