Epilogue
REALM: The Underworld
"He is here milord." The steward bowed nervously before him as Lord Hades looked up from his endless paperwork with an eyebrow raised. There are many people here, hard to keep track of a single individual. "He arrived just now." He was about to open his mouth and demand a proper explanation when he felt a shift in the atmosphere.
He wasn't lying.
The poor creature stumbled and nearly fainted on the spot as Lord Hades got up from his desk and summoned his God aspect. If it wasn't for the quick-witted guard that caught the poor wrench before he fainted and whisked away the steward.
His sandals made no noise on the stone hallways he passed through. The doors which hid his destination opened on their own accord. Passing the three judges on his way to his risen throne he sat down. Immediately the brassier next to the left judge flared to life, as did the brassier near the right judge. The thick black stone doors opposite his throne opened slowly full of creaks and groans of stone moving against a stone. A figure huddled in a dark grey cloak shuffled forward awkwardly, smelling decisively of death and decay.
"Welcome Alistair Caesar Khan Akira Wolfsbane, First Alpha of the Wolf shifters. We have been waiting on you for a long time." The middle judge spoke loud and clear. The hooded figure lifted its head and the cloak fell back revealing the true state of the once mighty First Alpha. Grey leathery-looking skin that only covered parts of the body, deep sunken black eyes, and wisps of dark hair clung to its bony skull. Rotted, jagged teeth gnashed together as he tried to speak. Like it had forgotten how to once the foul magic that kept him in his prime of power had been stripped away unknowingly by Herc with his lightning attack.
"You will be sentenced accordingly for the atrocities you have committed when you were alive." The left judge spoke, unrolling a fragile and old-looking roll of parchment. "Your crimes are as follows; conspiracy to overthrow your kin, abuse of power, use of unnecessary deathly force, murder of your blood, sexual abuse of your clan mates....."
The list seemed to continue endlessly, as the judge drones on and on. Not that the figure seemed to mind, its focus was on the highest throne, its dead eyes never leaving the shadowy figure of Hades. Who remained impassive under the scrutiny, that being said, he felt a slight pull on his power.
The brat has some parasite power that drains anything more powerful than himself.
His finger started tapping the armrest of his throne as he slowly scanned the miserable creature down on the floor for anything that could hide an artefact with such power. The room fell silent at this unprecedented action, for this never happened before. Since the creature was only skin and bone, it had to be somewhere on his cloak or teeth. A glance at the guards told him they felt nothing, which is odd since they are the demi-God children of Ares, they should have felt a pull. As if sensing the attention on him, the First Alpha raised his hands in supplication to Hades and parted the cloak, showing a much-understated cloak pin. Something that does not fit the First Alpha's personality at all. For he was greedy for all that was not his to have.
A gesture of his hand has the guard pull the cloak pin and the material fluttered to the ground. The grimace on the face of the guard confirmed his theory of an unnatural artefact. The middle judge cleared his throat and continued to drone on all about the crimes of the First Alpha. In the end, it was unanimous that the First Alpha was sentenced to Tartarus under the direct supervision of the Furies for the rest of eternity. Alecto, Megaera, and Tisiphone entered the room swishing their black robes with their quick strides grinning at the shivering skeleton, their whips at the ready to wrap around him and drag him along. There were no screams of protest, only the rattle of bones and teeth as he was physically dragged out of the chambers.
