Human Realm: Blood-Wolf Pack
Hercules cocked his head to the side as he listened to yet another Pack member spout about his troubles. He just didn't see the use in this whole charade; there were no secrets in the Pack, everybody knew that so why put on this show? As the man kept rambling on and on about youngsters destroying his fences and what they should do about it, Hercules' mind kept wondering back to little Nate's condition. To him Nate was more important than fences from the next pack member. By the angry gasp of breath told him they all heard what he thought. Like I said no secrets. Hercules just sighed as they waited for him to apologise for not paying attention. Like hell I will. Hercules wasn't one to bow down to anybody; his history proved that he wouldn't go down without a fight. "This is what you get when you let untrained youngsters take on a leading role." That was a death sentence right there; nobody got away scot free after insulting the Alpha.
Hercules let out a loud long laugh, startling everybody with the sound. "You do realize you just signed your death warrant right? There is no way you get away by insulting the Alpha. Besides I think I am older than most of you in this room so who is the youngster here old man?" Before the man could splutter his answer Hercules continued, he was on a roll now, he wasn't going to hold anything back. "I was around for years before your first Alpha was made. Your Goddess might be older than my father, that doesn't mean you are older than they are. For I know for a fact that your ancestors weren't around until at least two hundred decennia ago. I was around before that time so think how to speak to your superior brat!" The man's red face told him that he would explode soon, "You are nothing but a rotting corpse! You would still be in the depths of Hell if our Lady Luna hadn't intervened!" Hercules grinned as he walked up close; his face a breath away from the other mans "Yeah, she yanked me away from my life in the fields of Elysium, to aid you helpless lot. What makes you think you all have something to offer me what Elysium can't offer me and more?" It wasn't really a lie; he had been on the fields of Elysium. Just not when Lady Luna grabbed him then he was in the lowest part of Tartarus, close to the Titans. Not that this lot knew that he was bending the truth a little.
"I challenge you!" The man roared, finally having enough of Hercules' disrespect and aloof attitude towards the Pack. Hercules grinned wickedly; he was looking forward to releasing some pent up stress. Answering this challenge is the perfect way to do it. "Fine, I accept your challenge." The words left his lips before anyone could intervene. [What are you thinking Hercules? You do know he's one of our best Warrior Wolves rigtht?] Hercules rolled his eyes as he grabbed his sword, unlike the wolf Hercules didn't have pointy teeth and claws so a sword was a good replacement for the teeth and claws. [Don't worry Aplha, I will be fine.] Gabriel winced slightly at the mocking words; he shouldn't have dismissed Hercules' battle experience that quickly.
Howls filled the small open space where the fight would be held. Several Pack members were looking forward to having Hercules attitude taken down a notch. Yet Gabriel found to meddle with the whole thing. "Cass" The seasoned Warrior wolf turned and bowed his head slightly "You will not use the Pack bond. You're on your own just like Hercules." Cass just nodded, although Gabriel could see annoyance flash through his eyes. Wolves are Pack animals, meaning they do everything in groups. Hercules on the other side of the field was making warm up movements with his wrist holding the sword. He jumped a few times, lifting his knees to his chest, rolled his neck from side to side. Unlike Hercules, Cass didn't do any warm ups; he dismissed the need. Standing between the two Gabriel spoke "You both fight until I say otherwise. When I say enough, I mean enough. If you don't listen to me, I will take it as a challenge and take you out." He glanced at the rowdy crowd "Nobody from the crowd will interfere; if you do I will take it as a challenge and take you out."
