Towards the end of the torture session also known as dinner with the Sturniolo's, Paige and Matthew went to put the wine back to the cellar while I cleaned and set the table for dessert. I finished organizing while my mom and Mary washed the dishes, Christopher and Nicolas were nowhere to be seen while Paige and Matt were still away.

Seeing that both mother's were still busy with the plates I excused myself while going to look for Paige, I don't trust those boys and my sister alone. I went to the cellar but she wasn't there and neither was Matthew, as I went upstairs to look in Paige's room I heard whispers coming from the bathroom. What are these idiots doing together in the bathroom?

"I want to change the plan" I heard Christopher's voice sound low but alarming and I walked a little closer to the door to overhear the conversation.

"It's too late to change the plan" Nicolas whispered back sounding impatient.

"Why do things have to be just your way?" Christopher whined.

"It's not about my way, it's about the deal" the older brother raised his tone a little "Matt already wanted to back out today and I had to convince him to keep going, if you change dynamics it will complicate things even more" he explained. What were they talking about?

"Nic, I swear I want to find out the truth as much as you do, but dealing with that girl is too hard" What girl? What was this conversation about? I decided to move a little closer to the door to hear more clearly but the wood floor gave me away by making a loud noise. I panicked that they were now silent and my body shuddered when they opened the bathroom door and faced me.

"What are you doing here?" he spoke suspiciously.

"It's my house" I retorted "What are you doing in the bathroom together?"

"We wanted to talk in private but apparently you don't know the meaning of that" he rolled his eyes.

"Which girl were you talking about, Chris?" I directed the question to the younger who had been silent until now, he looked at Nicolas reluctantly as to how to answer the question "Paige?" I intimated.

"Yes" Nicolas exclaimed before Christopher could say anything "I don't know if you noticed but he doesn't like her" he said laughing lightly and Christopher didn't seem very comfortable with the way his brother was approaching the fact.

"And I don't know if you noticed but there is no world in which my sister would like him" I stated and Christopher shrank his body when he heard my sentence.

"Good that the feeling is mutual, let's go down for dessert then" Christopher walked pass me leaving me and Nicolas looking at ourselves. I kept my gaze up and crossed my arms, not letting my guard down.

"If I ever discover that you're planning something against or bad to my sister, I won't hesitate to hunt you down until the ends of the earth" I said slowly, maintaining eye contact.

"Are you threatening me?" You bet I am.

"No, I'm warning you" I finished the conversation and went down the stairs, finding Paige sprawled on the sofa scrolling through her phone while Matthew looked outside the window with a glass of water in his hand. He seemed so away from the real world and I wonder what was going through his head.

"Where were you?" I asked facing Paige, she lowered her phone to look at me.

"Me and Matthew went to put the wines back" At the mention of his name he turned his head our way to see what we were talking about. I knew that was a lie because I checked the cellar and they weren't there, so I hope she's planning to tell me the truth when they are gone.
