Chapter Eight

Pete looked out the window..he is having his lunch on a restaurant where he and Vegas will usually date when they are boyfriends.

A few months ago, he looked so happy. It seems like everything in his life his perfect despite of having a secret relationship with Vegas, He had a job, his boyfriend loves him and he makes a way to spend time with him and he had a good relationship with the main family especially Tankhun.

Now everything is opposite... Since he is pregnant, he resigned to his job, Vegas no longer spends time with him and he and the main family, especially Tankhun are no longer in good terms.

He didn't want to expect that everything will be good since he chooses his husband and the baby but he wanted Vegas to have time with him and for Tankhun and the rest of the main family to accept him.

His phone continuously ringing. There were few miscalls and text from Vegas.

Vegas (01:23): One of the housemaids said you sneaked out. Why do you have to do that?

Vegas (01:32): Pete? Please tell me where are you?

Vegas (01:35): I am worried. I just went to main family residence and you are not there. Please let me know where are you.

He knows he is worried now but he don't want to talk to anyone, not even his husband. he want to clear his head and have his own space. Tears are suddenly flowing from his eyes. He was crying and it feels like he might have a meltdown at any given moment. He can't no longer control his emotion. He rarely cry. As a bodyguard of the main family for years, he never cried in public since he is required to have a strong aura. But what he felt today got him. It was not a tears of joy from the last time he did that..it's more of sadness and fear. He don't know if it's something to do with hormones or something.

He then noticed some people are looking at him. His been crying for a few minutes now and some can hear his sob. He is really in his depressing state. If not for his husband and baby. He might think of giving up.

"I just told you. Pete is not here anymore. What the hell are you doing here?" Tankhun looked at Vegas as they are sitting on the table.

" You asked my husband to work after he gave birth? Are you insane?" Vegas heard it from Porsche. Pol who is just inside the room happened to eavesdropped while Tankhun and Pete have a conversation and he told it to Porsche.

Tankhun grabs the wine bottle and gently poured it to a glass. "Wow. I can't believed my lunatic cousin is asking me if I'm insane." And he sips the wine from the glass. " Are you making a negotiation just like what your husband did earlier?" And he paused, looking at Vegas sharply. " You are the one that is out of your mind Vegas. Of all the people you can take on a date with and be in a relationship, why my favourite bodyguard? Are you using your brain when you did it?"

Vegas sighed. " Can we just moved on from everything? It happened and I am sorry if we never tell it to anyone. On behalf of Pete. I am sorry if he never tell you about our relationship before." He is tired of all the drama that he wants to move on. He is a man of his pride. He never want to apologize to anyone. Not even to Pete sometimes but this time he wants to do it for his husband.

" If Pete return as my bodyguard and work for me again. Then I will forgive him."

" Pete can't do that for you." Vegas answered. " Can you please be considerate with him? It's okay if you will not forgive me. I know you hated me but you and Pete had a great relationship together."

" Then I'll say no..." Tankhun said looking at him with so much expression on his eyes.

" We are expecting a child. And Pete chooses to focus on our kid once it comes out. He made a decision to himself. He can't just change his mind and agree to you." Vegas explained.

" Same as mine." Tankhun said. " I can change my mind all of a sudden and agree to what he wants."

Pete goes home with a shopping bag on his hand. He actually went shopping after staying on the restaurant. The housemaid said that Vegas isn't home yet but he is not surprised. It's early in the evening.

Usually Vegas will go home late at night, when he is already asleep.

He went straight to their room. He put the bag on their bed and sits. He is actually exhausted from the whole day of being out. He went to department store looking for different baby stuff. He purchased some stuff toys and plain baby clothes.

He gently hold his tummy. The baby bump is bigger now. He can't imagine that a few months from now, he and Vegas will be parents now. " I can't wait to see you." He smirked.

Their is actually another room that he planned to create a nursery for their baby. He think of a cute designs and other stuffs to put there but they need to wait for the gender. But he will make sure to talk to Vegas today for his plan.

He stand up and looked at the mirror that is facing their bed. It shows on the reflection how his body change. Before he was fit. He had a smooth skin tone. He always had that lovely smile he is showing to the world.. now he looks like a different person, he gained weight from doing nothing but eating, sleeping and watching movies..he looked so dry and frail.

He suddenly felt that his stomach is aching. It feels like someone kicked him. He holds his belly and he doesn't understand why he felt a sudden pain. He was okay a few minutes ago.

He grabbed his phone and call an emergency hotline number.
