Diluc sat at his desk filling in today's boring paperwork only fir the head maid to notify him that dinner was being served so he began to journey downstairs to the ground floor.

Ophelia was also on her way to the table trying to wipe the sleep out of her eyes but failing.

In her drowsy state she finally made it to the table sitting opposite the read head who had now glanced up from his book.

"How are you finding it here so far?" He asked attempting to break the ice.

"Um.. okay. I like my room, I can see the stars and all of the different mushrooms from the window."

Diluc smiled to himself.

"Ophelia, the others told me that you have a history of violence." He could see her visibly tense up but he felt that he'd have to bring it up at some point.

"I was wondering if I could teach you how to fight, properly. It could be a good way of channeling your strength into something productive." He felt a little guilty for saying that but it was necessary plus, he wasn't good with people in general but that seemed to change when he sparred.

He would go from cold and cut off to a bit more open and constructive when he was teaching someone.

She chewed thoughtfully before swallowing quickly.

"Yeah, okay." She said smiling slightly.

~

"Aww again? your too good at this." Ophelia whined in defeat.

Diluc chuckled to himself a little earning a surprised and happy look from Adelaide.

The pair were watching from the table as Ophelia and Elzer played chess.

The grandfather clock chimed and Ophelia glanced out the window.

"It's getting a little late, I'm going to go to bed. Thank you for playing with me, Elzer." She shrunk back to her timid quiet self and began the climb to her turret room.

The moment she left Elzer joined Adelaide and Diluc at the table.

"Strange, she doesn't seem like the violent type, she's quite intelligent and shy. Did they tell you anything specific about her incidents?" The white haired man inquired pouring himself a cup of tea.

"No, actually. From what the knights said it seems to be all citizen reports." Diluc replied.

The three were all deep in thought especially Diluc.

Maybe in time she'll tell me herself but for now I just want to make sure she's comfortable here
