I could barely breathe after hearing this news, I felt like my whole body was about to fucking collapse into itself. How could my father keep this from me? Why would he lie and treat me so badly?
"What was all this for?" I asked him.
"Your mother was special...she could do things no other person could do." Father said.
"Like what?" I asked.
"She even started teaching my Mother." Levi said.
"What!?" I yelled.
"You're mother was a witch." Father said, my eyes widened. Witches only existed in fairytales and yet here is my father telling me my mother was a witch, how could I just accept that answer? I sat down on the bench and Vi sat down next to me and held my hand, I could feel how much he was worried about me.
"If she was a witch, how was she killed?" I asked my Father.
"She was caught off guard... someone told her you were in danger and..." I stopped him.
"I heard enough." I said as I stood up.
"I will help. What do I have to do?" I asked them. They looked at each other.
"You're mother left me a note it says before she died she cast a spell to transfer all her magic to you." He said.
"You mean I can use magic?" I said I couldn't possibly imagine using something from fairytales.
"Yes, but you have to be married and to The Prince." he said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because you two were meant to marry from birth." he said, I looked at Vi as he looked at me.

Everything that was told to me that night made my brain hurt, I just wanted to go to bed but the engagement party was still going. I took deep breaths as we walked back into the house, everyone started staring at us. My mother was a witch, I was a witch, and I was born to be married to Vi, all of this sounded like bullshit but it was my life. Vi walked me over to a chair and I sat down, he went to get me something to drink.
"You don't deserve him." a voice said. I turned around and it was Mary.
"I think you should just give up... He doesn't want you." I said as I stood up and walked over to him, I looked back at her and looked at him and kissed him, and everyone gasped.
"What was that for?" Vi asked in complete shock.
"I just felt like it." I said as I smirked and looked at her. Vi looked where I was looking and chuckled.
"You are The Black Princess." he said, I smiled. We were enjoying the party and mingling when the horns started going off, I looked at Vi and his face changed into a stone-cold look that it gave me chills.
"Vi... what's going on?" I asked him, I noticed my Father coming over.
"She's here." He said I look towards the door.
"Her Majesty The Queen!" the master of ceremonies said.

She was beautiful with a dark presence to her, she turned her head and looked in our direction, and started walking toward us.
"Aria... keep your mouth shut. I'll do the talking." Vi said, I could feel his voice change and his demeanor now that she was here.
"Hello, Prince Levi. Duke Erwin and... this must be your beautiful daughter Aria." She said. I curtsied and smiled at her.
"What are you doing here?" Vi said.
"Oh darling, don't be like that how could I miss my son's engagement party." she said with a sinister smile.
"You are not my mother. You may mingle with other guests since you are here. I want time with my Fiancé." he said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me away with him.
"ah.. well I shell go entertain myself with the other guest." she said as she walked away.
"Why did I have to keep quiet?" I asked Vi.
"I don't want you speaking to her right now...not until you move into the castle." he said, I gasped.
"Move? Castle? When?" I said.
"Tomorrow." Vi said with a smirk.
"What's with that smirk?" I said he turned his head.
"Nothing. Nothing at all." He said.

We talked and danced and drank as the party started to get more fun than it was when I got here, Levi walked away to talk to someone and I was left alone. I started looking around at the gifts that had piled up in the corner when I heard a voice behind me.
"That's a lot more than I got at my engagement party." she said, I turned around and it was the Queen.
"Y-Your majesty." I said as I curtsied.
"Oh stop, You are marrying my son soon. Call me Mother if you feel comfortable or just Selena." she said, I didn't feel comfortable around her.
"I never thought he'd pick someone to finally marry." she said.
"Why is that?" I asked her, I know he said don't talk to her but I can't avoid it now.
"He has many women at his feet but he always ignores them, I thought he fancied a gentleman's company but he obviously loves you." she said, I knew she was lying cause we had just met and he had no reason to love me.
"I hope so." I said with a smile.
"Do you love him?" she asked me.
"yes, I do. he's such a kind and gentle man." I said with a smile.
"He has his dark sides too." she said, I looked at her expecting her to say more.
"He has had a rough childhood since his mother the late empress died, I have tried to fill that spot of his mothers but he hates me even though I love him dearly." she said, I felt no love in those words.
"I'm glad he had another mother by his side." I said still smiling.
"You are a very sweet girl. I am intrigued by you. when you come to the castle I'll give you a tour." she said with a huge smile, but I could see she was plotting something behind that beautiful smile.
"Get away from her!" Vi says as he walks in front of me.
"oh Levi, you act like I'm going to eat her." she said with a chuckle.
"She's just talking with me Vi, I'm okay I promise." I said as I gave him a look with a smile.
"Are you sure?" He asked me I nodded.
"It's okay dear I'm going to go talk to your father I haven't seen him in a while." she said as she walked away.
"I told you don't talk to her." he said with a deep stern voice.
"I can't avoid it when you aren't here and it was an innocent conversation even though I suspect her intentions behind it." I said.
"You did?" He asked me.
"Yup, I could feel her evil spirit behind that smile." I said.
"You still didn't listen to me, I don't like that." He said as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me away.

He pulled me from the ballroom and towards a room near the Kitchen which I suspect was a servant's quarters, he opened the door and flung me inside, and closed the door behind him. He seemed different like I had upset him by talking to The Queen, I really couldn't just sit there and smile in her face without speaking. He turned and looked at me with scorching eyes I felt my heart skip a beat, He walked over to me and I took a step back.
"L-Levi... I'm sorry I talked to her okay? I won't do it again. Please calm yourself." I said softly, he continued to walk towards me slowly.
"You are so stubborn." he said as he looked down at me.
"I am and won't change for no one, not even a Prince." I said puffing out my cheeks.
"I don't like when people don't listen to me." He said as he put his hand on my cheek, I could feel my body get hot and I took another step back and fell onto the cot. I look up at him and he climbs on top of me and is staring down at me.
"You are so beautiful." he said still looking down at me his eyes still scolding me.
"G-Get up...L-Levi..." I said he pulled my arms over my head and held them there, I watched his eyes roam down from my face to my chest and back up to my eyes.
"P-Please... Your Grace." I said with a soft voice, his eyes softened up and he got up and helped me up.
"I apologize for my unsightly behavior." He said as he went to open the door and asked for my hand, I took his hand and we went back to the party.

We re-entered the party and I noticed that The Queen had left and everyone seemed more comfortable, I looked around and didn't see Mary anymore and felt a breath of fresh air. I noticed my Father walking over to us.
"Her Majesty has left for the Castle, she expects Aria and You to come to see her at the Castle when she settles in." he said, Vi's hand squeezed mine so tight that I thought he would break it. I pulled my hand away from his.
"When was I going to be notified of my transition to the Castle before I am even married?" I asked him.
"Since you will be nineteen in a few months we must move along with plans that should have been taken after the wedding but his majesty thinks otherwise being that you Levi are twenty already and should have been married two years ago to Aria." Father said.
"I was only sixteen at the time Father is that really necessary?" I asked.
"yes, you were supposed to be married at sixteen but things changed when your mother passed." he said, I nodded.
"When is this party over?" Vi said He grabbed my hand and we walked over and got everyone's attention.
"Thank you all for coming to our engagement party, I appreciate every last one of you but it is time for my beautiful Fiancé to get her beauty sleep." He said as people bowed to him and started to leave.

We entered the carriage and headed straight for the Castle, I felt ill at the thought of leaving my home for the Castle. I looked at Levi who was staring out the window, he looked down but I didn't know what to say to him so I sat quietly. I didn't think my life would change so much from a stranger being in my room, now I'm going to be a Princess and one day a Queen. How could anyone possibly be something so important? I had grace but I also have a strong mind and I am very stubborn for a woman, it just all comes down to how I can handle being with Levi. Will he ever love me? Will I love him?
"I thought I was going to the Castle tomorrow?" I asked him.
"It is tomorrow." he said still looking out the window.
"Did I do something?" I asked him, he looked at me with dark sad eyes.
"No, you haven't done anything." he said as he looked back out the window.
"Okay." I said, his whole demeanor changed after the Queen came and he's been so cold towards me. It would be a couple of hours before we reached the Castle and I felt my eyes getting heavy, I felt movement and then an arm around me. I looked and saw Levi had come over to my side and let me lean on his shoulder, he smelt so good that I didn't realize I had fallen asleep.
