Stranger In My Room

I woke up today to the sun softly shining on my face as I sat up and yawned while stretching, the door opened and my maids Rin and Violet entered my room. They bowed as they greeted me.
"Good Morning, Lady Aria." Rin said I smiled.
"Good morning." I said as Violet went to prepare my bath and Rin set out my clothes for the day. I got into the bath and it felt so warm and smelt so lovely, I sat there in the bath thinking about everything in my life. My father was Duke Erwin Smith, he is the King's greatest Weapon and a Master Swordsman. He has always been too busy for me, I remember him getting upset because I went into his office to wish him a happy birthday when I was six. I sucked my teeth and dipped farther into the bath bringing the water up to my chin. Being the duke's daughter has its perks. I'm always being invited to parties but I never respond anymore. The worst part is everyone has their eyes on me wherever I go, Father always told me to watch how I act in public or it could tarnish his name.

My mother died when I was three years old so I don't have much memory of her. Father never speaks of her either and there are no photos of her around the mansion. I'm also the only child so I am always home alone, it gets quite boring. I spend my days reading in my room or out in the gardens. I swear I have read every book in my father's library. I do have a boyfriend though--- or whatever you call us. He is the son of Duke Forster and he's such a dick! I sank lower into the tub the water covering my mouth. His name is Floch and honestly, he isn't even my type, but he's a duke's son, and as a duke's daughter I have an obligation as a noble to marry into another noble family once I'm eighteen, and surprise surprise... I'm eighteen now. He's very mean and controlling and doesn't treat me right, I rather die before I marry him. I finished my bath and Violet came in with a towel to dry me off, she put on my robe and we went back into my room. Rin was waiting with my dress. They put my dress on me and I looked in the mirror.
"I like it." I said, Rin and Violet smiled. I smiled back, walked over to my balcony door, opened it, and went out. The air felt so good on my freshly cleaned skin. I looked down into the Gardens and saw Father reading. This could be my chance! I could try to bond with him now that I'm Eighteen. I ran back into my room and out the door, I hurried through the mansion and out into the garden. He was still there, good. I waited behind a bush while I caught my breath. I fixed myself up and walked towards Father.
"Good Morning, Father." I said he looked at me and then back at his book.
"Good Morning, Aria." He said not even making eye contact with me.
"May I sit, Father?" I asked him, and he nodded. I sat down and Rin came beside me and made my plate.

I started eating while staring at Father. He was such an uptight man, but he was also very handsome. His blonde hair slicked back, blue eyes as bright as the sky, he never aged which was weird but no one complained because he was The King's favorite. It was utter silence. I was getting nervous with all the silence.
"Father I--" I was interrupted by his butler. He whispered something in Father's ear.
"Okay... Aria I have to leave for the day. Remember do not go out without my permission. " He said as he stood up and walked away. I sat there by myself for another hour before I went back to my room. I told Rin to leave me be for now and to close the door. I sighed as I sat at my desk. I didn't know how else to connect with my Father. He was always busy and when I did catch him alone it was complete silence.
"Why is this so hard!" I said as I threw a book onto my bed. I just want to be closer to him.

An hour later I heard a knock at my door, I let them know to come in. It was Violet.
"Yes?" I said, Violet bowed.
"I apologize for intruding milady but Lady Sasha, Lady Mikasa, Lord Armin, Lord Eren, Lord Connie, and Lord Jean are here." She said I didn't expect them to come today.
"Okay bring them up." I told her. She bowed and left. I stood up and fixed myself yet again to greet my company. A few minutes later my door opens and they all enter.
"LADY ARIA!" Sasha yelled as she ran towards me and hugged me. I chuckled a little and hugged her back.
"Hello, Sasha." I said with a smile, she looked like she was about to cry.
"W-We were s-so w-worried about you." Sasha stuttered to say. I have been in my home since I was four with no outings or public appearances until I was fifteen. Then after I turned sixteen I was bullied harshly at school and left, people assumed I was sick but really I just wanted to be left alone.
"I'm fine guys I swear." I said waving my hands with a smile.
"You weren't even sick were you?" Mikasa said.
"no, I just didn't want to go anywhere." I told her. I told my father to not let anyone see me until I said so, even my friends but I lifted that a few days before I turned eighteen.
"See, told you she was just at home being Aria." Eren said as he sat on my bed.
"get off my bed Eren." I said he huffed.
