"There is no way I'm going to school and putting up with that twat." Ashton retorted, throwing his journal which had his class schedule in it, at his bedroom door. Almost every single class he had today, he was in it with Luke and he didn't want to have to put up with that. So he did the only thing he could do. Ashton stood up, exited his bedroom and made his way down the stairs. He peeked around the corner and saw Anne cooking breakfast before he took a deep breath and put on a fake frown. He walked into the kitchen and let out a fake groan, making Anne jump and spin around.
"You gave me a fright- whoa, what's up with you?" Anne questioned, putting down her spatula and walking towards him.
"I'm not feeling too good." Ashton mumbled, trying desperately not to laugh. He knew he would never be able to be an actor. He didn't know how they could possibly keep themselves from not cracking up.
"My poor gay baby, go on back up to bed. You're not going to school today. I don't want you throwing up on anyone and ruining my reputation." Ashton smirked and then coughed, trying not to jeopardise his ground plan.
"But, then I will miss out on school work and fail my exams and then I won't get into university and I won't get a good job and I won't have money and I won't be able to buy food and if I can't buy food, I'll be really extremely skinny and then I won't ever get a boyfriend and then I'll be alone forever and I'll die of loneliness and then I will just die because... Death..."
"Don't be silly, it's one day. But if you miss more than one day, I'll ring up and get them to send someone here with your school work."
"Okay." Ashton moped, turning back around to go back upstairs. The smile lingering across his face soon faltered when she called him back.
"Uh-yeah?"
"My shift at the hospital starts soon, do you think you could check on your brother and sister and see if they're up and ready?" Ashton let out a breath of relief, simply because he thought he was busted.
Many people would think he was overreacting, but he didn't want to go to school for a while. He didn't want to see Luke and have to put up with the blonde boys' shit. Ashton nodded and went up to check on his siblings, he smiled when he saw they were organising their bags. After telling them that Anne was driving them to school, he closed the door and went back to his own bedroom where he stayed for a week and a half. Everyone was gaining suspicious as to why the curly brown haired boy hadn't been at school in so long.
He's been in his room, hardly eating and hardly going out and speaking to his family. It's honestly concerning Anne; she thought her son may be depressed. Although she wasn't sure that could happen in just a week and a bit. She'd been meaning to talk to him, but she didn't want to offend or overwhelm him in any way. It was after 3, so that meant school would be over by now. Ashton knew he was taking it too far with the whole 'I'm going to stay home for the rest of my life to avoid Luke' thing. And he knew he was going to have to go back to school at some point.
Although he really didn't want to, he was psyching himself up to go back tomorrow. He didn't feel like getting a talk from his mother about him being depressed. He overheard her on the phone to his doctor about getting him into therapy, and that was a risk he was most certainly not willing to take. Of course if he went back to school, he would still keep avoiding Luke. He made a mistake and it couldn't be fixed, no matter what he did.
Ashton was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a knock on the door. He groaned, standing from his position on the couch and walked out of the living room. He ran a hand through his unruly hair before opening the door and his heart dropped when seeing a too familiar blue eyed, blonde haired boy with a lip ring standing outside of his door, holding text books and work sheets. He just had to be the one to bring me my homework didn't he? As Ashton went to slam the door in his face, Luke put his foot in the door way.
