Lost

I sat in that tree for God knows how long trying to figure out how to get back to the wall. I knew which way it was in, but I got turned around somehow and ended up right back where I started. All the trees looked the same. Worse yet, I was out of gas in my tanks. I couldn't move. I was stuck in this tree. I sat there, contemplating my next move, when I felt a thump against the tree trunk.

I looked over the edge to see a titan clawing at the bark, trying to get to me, it's mouth gaping.

I didn't know what to do. It was still pouring, and the sky was getting dark. Maybe I should wait for the sun to go down. Titans don't move at night. But how do I get out of the tree? Even if it's dark, it's still not safe to walk on the ground. Besides, it's at leased a five mile walk. That would take me all night, aseptically since I can't see where I'm going. Damn, I'm dying alone in the woods on my first day.

Levi's Pov:

I fought the titans with everything I had. We had lost twenty-four good fighters today. Finely, the number of titans has gone down. I sat atop the wall looking out towards the woods. The cadets weren't back yet.

"Where are those idiots?"

Just when I was about to go looking for them, I saw Armin emerge from the woods with Mikasa close behind him. Where was L/n? They landed on the wall next to me, panting for air.

"Where's L/n?"

They looked at each other.

"Well, um..." Stuttered Armin. "Ya see, the thing is...Well..."

"Spit it out Armin."

"Uh...Well..."

"Well what?"

Mikasa sighed. "She was attacked by a titan and told us to go on without her."

I pinched the brim of my nose. "So you left her there?"

"Yep."

God these two are so useless. "Fine. Go to the dinning hall. Eat something and get some rest."

Armin tilted his head. "B-but, what about y/n?"

"Hey, you're the ones who left her in the woods, you should have thought of that before you did so. Now get lost."

They hesitated a moment, but did as I instructed. I turned to the woods. She had to be out there somewhere. Without a second thought, I leapt from the wall and headed to the woods. She had to be somewhere. If she's not dead yet.
