Y/n's Pov:

I'm fuckin' freezing up here. The sky is dark. I'm so cold I'm getting tired.

Levi's Pov:

I flew through the trees, searching for the newest member of my team. Not again. Not like this. I can't lose another team member this fast. I never should have sent them off without me. Since I didn't know what was out there, my first thought should have been to send out more experienced people. People who knew what they were doing. Not kids. I don't doubt their skill. I doubt myself. So young. Yet fighting against titans none the less.

I stopped and looked around. She had to be here somewhere. Anywhere. Please dear God. Please let her be alive. I tried to think of where she may have gone. Suddenly, the rain slowed, and then stopped. I looked up through the tree branches to the night sky above me. The clouds were clearing, but it was still cold.

I leapt off the branch I was perched on, and continued my frantic search for my cadet. I don't know how long I looked before my eyes rested apon something in a tree off in the distance. As I got closer, a small wave of relief washed over me to see my cadet. I landed on the branch beside her crumpled form. I reached down gently and touched her face. Cold as ice, but alive. Her gas tanks were empty and her cloths were soaked. No wonder she didn't come back.

I sighed and hoisted her up onto my back. Before heading back towards the wall. I could feel her wet, cold body on my back, and it was a reminder to get to the wall as fast as these 3DM lines could carry me.

As the wall came into sight, I called for Hange, knowing she would be around here somewhere. Sure enough, she came over the wall with incredible speed. She flew so fast I thought she would miss the wall, but she landed half-hazardly atop it anyways. When I landed next to her, her face went from confusion to fear to shock within seconds. I opened my mouth to speak, but was cut off by a voice behind me.

"Y/n!"

Eren ran up with a horrified look on his face. "Is she dead?!"

I rolled my eyes. "No, she's not dead. But she will be if we don't get her inside."

"R-right."

Before I knew it, she was off my back and being carried to safety. Well, nothing else for me to do here. I turned and began to walk to the edge of the wall, prepared to fall flat on my face when I got to my quarters.

"Wait a damn minute!"

God, what was Hange on about know?

She ran up behind me and grabbed my shoulder. "Levi, you just gave a million signs that you actually care! Is it possible that there's something more to this?" She raised an eyebrow at me and winked.

"Don't be stupid Hange. I'm just doing my damn job. You should try it sometime."
