Chapter 18: Questions, Questions, and oh, did I say Questions?

Dream woke up with XD snuggling him from behind. He must have moved in his sleep. Dream was happy that XD was feeling more comfortable around him. In an overall better mood. He stood grabbing some extra food from his inventory. Munching as he left through the tavern door.

As his vision faded to black and reappeared with himself now awaking somewhere outside with a brick wall in front and behind and beside him.

Dream was hit with confusion as to how he had ended up here. He was sure he left his body near the gates of the school when he went to talk with XD. As he looked through the only exit he saw a group of kids watching him closely and menacingly.

Dream...

Dream had no idea who the fuck they were.

The one Dream's assuming is the leader spoke. "Well, well, well, our friend here has finally decided to wake up, hasn't he?

"Yes he has," A person standing beside 'the leader' said.

The leader approached Dream. "So you think you're so cool huh?"

"So cool huh" The group repeated.

What is even happening?

"You think just because George was nice he likes you?"

"NO!" the group said.

Dream looked at the leader putting his hand on his shoulder to help him understand the point he was getting through. Staring deep into his eyes. "I'm sorry I think you have the wrong person" He said.

The leader frozen in place stood there as Dream nodded, happy to see they understood. They must be so embarrassed right now. Dream took his arm off before walking past. Stopping when he heard a yell "DO YOU NOT KNOW WHO WE ARE?"

"... am I supposed to?"

"..."

"..."

"A-a couple days ago, we talked to you!"

Dream tried to recall.

"you were so scared you were speechless" The leader screeched.

"..."

"THE THREAT, WE THREATENED YOU?"

"... wait, ohhhh I remember you guys. What's up?."

"Y-you think this will hold anything against us? You think we are bothered you don't remember us? We know you are afraid of us. We hold so much power you think just because your s-some main character you can win against us? NO, we are the Fan squad. The highest authority of this school. If you think we are going to stand by? For you to ruin what the council is trying to preach you are wrong, very wrong!"

"Caleb, what do you think you are doing harassing a poor student?"

"S-sam, how long have you been standing there for?"

"A while"

"We weren't doing anything. This stude-"

"Now, I wouldn't want to put you in detention for lying now would I?"

"N-no please forgive us."

"Well, you are THE~ highest authority at this school so how could I do anything?"

The leader gasped. "Sam, please I didn't mean it. It was a slip of the tongue please. Please."

"It seems we need to flaunt our authority more or else people might start using their own names for personal gain. But really they're just embarrassing themselves aren't they."

"No..."

"Caleb, under section 1.2 You are never to put yourselves above the student council. As Well as section 1.5 to never lie to a council member you are put under detention please visit the principal office whenever you get out, and because I'm feeling generous I'll just check this off as one demerit. But, you're on thin ice."

"Thank you for this." Caleb said.

Dream felt creeped out with the situation, back when this happened with Wilbur he was just glad he hadn't got into trouble. But now it's weird and unusual. How can some people have so much power over everyone else? Why is no one doing anything?

"Student?"

Dream looked at the person in front of him. Gas mask covering half of his face with green just everywhere on his person.

He kind of looks like Oscar the grouch from sesame street.

"You'll be late for class, you should hurry, I'll give you a late slip. So don't worry too much about that. Next time don't cause trouble.

Dream furrowed his brow. Don't cause trouble? I don't even know why they act that way to me. How can I stop causing trouble when I'm not doing anything wrong?

Dream took the late slip walking to class.

What do I know? If I ever want to see my family I need to beat the game. But how? The genres love so maybe I need to find the main character and get them to fall in love with my friends? This council is so confusing and weird too, what's giving them so much power to control inside and the outside of schools? It's taking so long to complete this one quest too. How many more do I have to do? Why won't the game give me more events to complete? I should just be patient. Last time, I caused a lot of problems. Maybe I should look for the person? XD said they could be what started the glitch. They could know something, as they brought me outside. Last time I saw them though, they looked bad. What if they... died? No, no, this is a romance you can't die. That's too morbid. XD's patched up all the code too. So there's no danger in checking really quickly right?

Dream turned around heading to the front gates of the school.
