𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐀 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 loud noises that were coming from her sister's room. She was honestly getting so annoyed with the constant fighting that was going on between her and her boyfriend.
The other night, when she was on the phone with Kaires, Amina and her baby's father had gotten into it again. Although she was used to it, she never knew how it would end. Sometimes the police would have to come or even the neighbors would have to calm the couple down.
She just wasn't ready for Kaires to see that side of her life yet, the same way he didn't want her to see his tic attack.
Erica sat on her bed, her grey towel wrapped around her body and she didn't plan on getting dressed anytime soon.
She picked up her phone and FaceTimed Kaires, waiting for it to connect. She smiled when she saw his face on the camera. He was still in bed, his covers covering his chest but she could still see that he was shirtless.
"Hi, Kaires."
"Wassup—Your hair looks so pretty." He said accidentally but she knew that he was thinking it so it made the compliment even better.
She smiled, fluffy her loose curls around, "Aw Thank you! Did I wake you up?" He blushed before shaking his head no, he was already up he just hadn't gotten out of bed yet.
"No, I-I was on TikTok." He rubbed his eye softly before yawning.
Kaires glanced back at the phone, a noise similar to their last phone call caught his attention.
"What's the noises—Shit!" He stammered once he remembered that she had ended their call in such a weird manner.
"I live with my sister and her boyfriend—Just like me!" He accidentally cut her off before literally biting his tongue to quiet himself. He had all kinds of cuts, blisters, and openings on his tongue from doing that.
