Que and Boogie were both knocked out, Que on the couch and Boogie on a pallet that they had made out of pillows and blankets.
He had checked on her about forty minutes ago and she was asking for night clothes so he wasn't really surprised that she ended up going to sleep. He ended up giving her his favorite plaid pajama pants and the white t-shirt that he had on earlier.
Kaires kicked his Crocs off and slid into the bed next to her. "Shit—sorry." He mumbled as she stirred herself awake, he was trying to make space for himself but she just happen to be one of the lightest sleepers ever.
She pushed over and opened the covers for him, "You're okay. You done for the night?" Her voice was groggily and had a slight rasp to it.
"They fell asleep—I missed you—" He cut himself off and allowed his mouth to get the best of him. Erica smiled softly though her eyes were still closed.
"I missed you too Reese Cup. What time is it?" She opened her eyes, his brown orbs being the first thing that she saw.
"Almost four—you getting up now?"
"I guess so, you don't look tired." She shrugged before rubbing her eyes.
"I'm not. You told me you had to talk to me. Let's talk now please."
"Okay. I lied to you, it is about earlier." She was now sitting up, leaning up against his headboard. Kaires huffed, his eyebrows bunched together.
"But you said—" He sucked his teeth and threw his head back. His actions resemble a temper tantrum of a small child.
"Kaires stop. I know what I said. It's nothing bad—to me at least." She grasped his hands together to stop them before they could start trembling, mumbling the last part of her sentence.
