"𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐀 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄." Erica smiled as she picked up her phone and snapped a picture of Kaires holding his purple açaí bowl.

They had just got out of school a little bit ago and he decided to take her to this little vegan shop that served things like smoothies, fruit bowls, and even milkshakes.

"Yours looks so good but mine looks a little better." She chuckled, lying to herself because hers came out this deep green color since she added veggies. They both topped theirs with various berries, bananas, and granola.

"It r-reminds me of d-dung." He pinched his nose in a disgusted manner and Erica waved him off before taking her first bite.

He watched as she happily danced in her seat, it tasted good so he took a spoonful of his, "Immediately n-no." He mugged the bowl, then her for catfishing the taste.

"What? You do like it? Let me see." He shook his head as he wiped his tongue off with a napkin, pushing the wooden bowl over to her.

"This is good! Better than mine. I'm taking it to go."

"I'm g-gonna' order me a—parfait. See where listening to gets me?" He playfully dissed as he got up from the table. He went to the small opened refrigerated section and grabbed two very berry, vanilla yogurt-based parfaits.

"C-can I get a side of bananas? Please." He asked the young lady behind the counter, who nodded and quickly cut up a banana and put it in a plastic container.

"I'm s-soo mad—I have to go to the—Erm—library today. I for-forgot all about that." He mumbled once he came back, tossing the plastic spoon onto the table.

Erica hummed as she picked up a fresh blackberry, the ice of the açaí melting on her tongue, "Oh yeah, how was that? Do you read it out loud to them yourself?"

"No, we do it in a r-rotation y'know. It depends, sometimes we do a paragraph each, other times we might do a whole chapter each." He was referring to the other books he had done, he only had his first meeting with Mice and Men a couple of days ago.
