I can still hear the fires crackling from in here. These people have no way of fighting back and the ones who can have just given up.
Indifera was the home of many things but war and violence were not one of them.
How could the traitors move so fast? When we took out their main base it should've pulled their numbers back but they act as if it wasn't a big deal.
Every day it feels like we're losing this fight and there's no way of fighting back.
Hearing footsteps I remain asleep because I think it's just Mariam just moving around.
As they continue to get closer I start realizing that it isn't her.
Opening my eyes I see a guard standing over me and immediately puts a bag over my head. Dragging me out of the cell I try to fight back, throwing my head back to break their nose and running off.
Removing the bag I try to choose the best way to escape but this place is a maze.
Speed walking down every turn I try to listen for more footsteps.
Not hearing any I think I'm in the clear. Turning the corner I bump into a really buff guard.
"I bet you'll provide more entertainment than the rest," they say and restrain me.
Picking me up like I'm a potato sack I try to wiggle my way out but it's no use, this person has a tight grip on me.
Passing through two large doors the guard throws me onto the ground, landing on my back I find myself in a fighting ring.
"I know we have been bored of the same winner, so why not switch it up with a believer, let's give it up to a prisoner who believes that he can escape," the announcer says, and everyone boos.
Believes that he can escape? No...she wouldn't, Mariam wouldn't sell me out. Would she?
"First we have to see if he's worth it, bring out the gauntlet," the announcer says as I get up.
What the fuck is a gauntlet. Oh never mind.
Hearing the gates In front of me open, I see a large guard walk into the ring with all their limbs covered in some sort of metal.
I'm going to have to fight my way out, just what I wanted.
Putting my hands up to get ready I wait for him to make the first move.
As he swings with his right I run forward, avoiding their punch, and jab at his exposed rib.
He quickly turns and grabs my hand and holds me up.
With one charged punch he sends me back, hitting the fence that's keeping us in.
Wait is this till one of us taps out or till the death type of ordeal?
I roll out of the way as the "gauntlet" tries to crush me with their hands.
Till the death I guess.
As he turns around I run toward him. Jumping and placing my feet on his chest and pushing off to pull the left armored arm off.
As I slide back I realize that I'm a lot quicker so I should have the upper hand.
Getting frustrated he starts walking toward me and I throw the arm up at a great height.
I run back at the "gauntlet" and use my magic as stealthily as I can to knock them on one knee.
Stepping off the knee I give them a swift kick and they fall backward with the arm coming down and crushing their head.
