Sitting on my bed, staring at the contacting rune, I think about activating it just to see Jordan again.
But I can't. It would be unfair and unreasonable.
Even though it has only been a few weeks since the last time I saw him I'm already missing him and the adventures we would go on.
Maybe it's for the best that we're separated anyway. He gets to focus on whatever is going on earth and I get to deal with this war. This ever-lasting war.
As I rub my face and sigh, I tell myself, "come on, nothing is going to happen if I just sit here"
Picking up the paper and locking it in a box on top of my dresser, I stretch before I head outside of my room.
Taking a stroll through the corridors of the castle I walk past a room where Aurora is reading to the kids.
Leaning against the door frame I accidentally slide against the door fumbling in.
Catching myself before I completely fall, I turn to see all the kids light up with excitement and Aurora trying to hide her laughter.
Standing up straight she says, "I guess we have a surprise guest, Adam come here"
Walking over and sitting next to her she continues, "do any of you have questions for him?"
Almost immediately the kids raise their hands simultaneously.
Picking on a few they ask, "what is blight?" And "are we safe?"
"Yes, we're safe. Me, Aurora, and many others will make sure you continue to remain safe, as for Blight, they, and Bliss are our gods that allow us to live on this world we now walk on," I say and they all giggle.
"Well said, any other questions?" Aurora asks and one more hand goes up.
Pointing at them they say, "are we allies with the witches?"
"Yes we are, I have a best friend on earth who would do anything to make sure you all are safe and remain happy," I say and everyone starts clapping.
"Well thank you, Adam, for coming by and I think reading is over, go on now, we have lots of work to do" Aurora smiles and dismisses the kids.
We begin walking out of the castle together.
"Those were pretty sweet things you said about him," She asks with a big smile on her face.
"What are you talking about?" I say absolutely confused.
"The smile you had when you were talking about Jordan, you've met a lot of people but none of them have made you smile the way he does," she says and I start thinking about it.
"I just missed his company and the insane drama we went through, that's all, why do you bring this up?" I ask and she looks at me confused before laughing at me.
I start to question her but she continues to laugh. Shaking her head to tell me it's nothing she starts to run off.
"Aurora!" I yell before chasing after her.
Catching her at the entrance of the castle I catch my breath.
"Why- why we're- holy Bliss- why we're you laughing?" I ask and she looks around.
"It's nothing Adam, just live your life, now we have to find Ohera remember, I don't see her at all," she says trying to find her.
Looking over to my side I immediately spot her.
Pointing her out Aurora shoves me to the side a little saying, "where?"
"Talking to the farmers, come on," I laugh as I push her off and walk over.
