The Real World.

 Everyone else was also there. Black sat up, her face twisted in pain. Jay was on top of Conner, who looked squished. Noah and Will were laying next to each other, and Via was laying on her back. "We're.. Back in the real world?" I rasped. My voice felt like someone had rubbed rocks on my vocal cords.

"Looks like it." Via said, pushing herself up. Gabumon helped her steady herself.

I suddenly realized how strange this would look-seven humanoids with alien creatures. "Guys.. Maybe we should rest for a bit at our houses."

This made both Conner and Via spring up. "I can't wait to sleep in my bed again." Via exclaimed. "I can order from my favorite chicken place!"

Jay stretched. "I can take a shower." she murmured. "I feel so gross."

Black jumped up. "Ace, you should stay at my place!" her voice had a very subtle, well-masked note of desperation. I heard it, though, and I knew why it was there.

"I need to go back to my mom, though." I murmured, running my hands through my hair. "She's gonna kill me for being out so late."

"Late? It looks like this place has barely changed since we left. We've been gone for a significant amount of time, too!" Conner exclaimed.

Agumon stretched. "Conner, do you have a house?" he asked curiously. "What's a house, anyhow?"

Conner laughed. "Let me go show you my place." Conner said. He turned to the rest of us. "Gimme a call if you need me." With that, he ran off with Agumon right behind him.

Via and Jay exchanged glances. Via grabbed Gabumon's hand to start leading him away. "We're gonna go grab some chicken." Via said. "I'm starving."

Jay nodded, and did the same with Palmon. "We'll see you guys later!"

"Ace.." Black had Biyomon in her arms like a stuffed animal. "Please.. Just come to my house. I don't want your mom to-"

I shook my head. "It's fine. I'll take it." I glanced at Tentomon. "Fly up to the attic window- wait for me to open it."

Tentomon nodded, but cast a worried look at me. "Alright." he opened his elytra and buzzed his wings. "Don't do anything stupid." he flew off, towards my house's roof.

"I'm the CEO of stupid decisions." I said casually.

"Obviously." Black muttered. "I'll be at my house." she turned and ran down the street.

Will and Noah nodded. Noah still had Patamon cradled in his arms. "I don't know how we'll explain our Digimon to Grandma, but-"

Will's eyes widened. "I c-completely f-forgot about g-g-grandma!" he cried. He spun around and booked it.

Gomamon followed him, calling after Will to slow down. Noah's eyes were suddenly filled with tears. "Catch you later, guys.." he murmured, bowing slightly. He wiped his eyes with his sleeve, and followed Will.

Black sighed. "Our group is messed up." she murmured, rubbing her face. Biyomon hugged her leg, staring up at her nervously. "Ace.. promise me. If it gets bad, call me. Call me."

I nodded silently. "Ok. I'll see if I can snatch my phone." I smiled weakly. "Black, I'll be fine."

Her eyes shone with worry, but she nodded. "Ok." she murmured. "I'll be back."
