izana looked down at haruki's fresh corpse.

"hah... what a satisfying view..."

he looked like he was drifting off..

and then he suddenly lost his balance. he fell onto the floor.

i immediately rolled off the bed, i saw the knife laying on the floor so i crawled over, i somehow managed to cut the ropes on my wrists open, i pulled the tape off my mouth, removed the ropes from my ankles as well and rushed to izana.

"oh... my god-" i pulled up his shirt, took off mine and tried to stuff the wound with it.

i started sobbing while looking down at him, there was blood all over my hands and his stomach. "i'm so sorry... i couldn't even go to the car alone, i'm so sorry.. but you'll be fine, i promise you.." i saw his phone peaking out of his pocket, i immediately pulled it out and sent rindou our location and a quick message.

'come here asap, bring your medical stuff!!'

"y/n..." he was only half sitting up, he wrapped his arms around my head and threw himself back, pulling me with him so that we both were laying on the floor.

"what are you doing? i need to treat your-" "i want to hug you one last time"

"don't say it like you won't make it... let me help you and we'll both make it out alive-" "i'm sorry for not showing up earlier"

huh?...

"i couldn't prevent... him doing these things to you" his grip around me tightened "i promised you... and your brother, and myself, that i'd protect you... but i failed every single time"

"izana.. don't-" "i got you into a car crash, i wasn't able to keep you safe from him, i got you kidnapped and raped.. i failed"

it was almost like he wasn't even able to hear me.

"but at least" he spoke up again "at least i was able to kill him.. at least i was able to somehow avenge you, even if it could never make up to all the things he did to destroy your life.."

"please stop.. rindou will be here soon, you're going to survive" i could barely see anymore, there was way too much water in my eyes.

the blood from his wound was going onto me too, plus we were laying on a pretty hard floor... it probably looks so painful for others... but he was comfortable.. his grip was comforting, his attendance was comforting.

"y/n... i love you, i love you more than myself..." his voice weakened by every word "i never loved anyone like this, not even... not even shin"
