Chapter 11: Pineapple Express Pt. 1

Y/N POV:

The car silently pulled into the garage at the luxurious estate, with not a single one of us speaking. Evelynn parked the car and then turned to me.

Evelynn: You are technically our responsibility now, so please don't go and do something like that again and get into another fight.

Me: Look, it was out of my control. The guy punched first.

I kept looking out of the window and then got out of the car before everyone, and I walked to the elevator, not wanting to deal with the girls' nagging right now. I went into the Die Hard-looking elevator, and stood there against the backwall.

The next minute I spent in silence while looking at the roof, a faint huuuuuuum could be heard from the light in the elevator ceiling. The doors opened and I walked into the penthouse again, the silence of the place speaking a loud volume. The serene tranquility of everything closely mirroring the feeling of the snowy New Mombasa streets.

I walked to my room and seen a few boxes sitting on the floor in the center. I walked up to one of them and opened it, revealing my clothes.

/Dam, already here, only been about a day and a half.\

Voices could be heard outside of the room and I could tell they came in. Noting their position was the living room, I opened the box. Grabbing 2 shirts, I started to put them on the hangars in the closet. I had to go back and drag the box to the closet so I could put all my clothes in there. Just then, my phone rang. I pulled it out of its holster and answered it.

Me: Yello

???: Y/N, we're coming to pick you up.

Me: Marion, what's going on?

Marion: Covenant spotted outside of Ionia, we're gonna be sent to search and destroy the targets.

Me: On it, how far out are you?

Marion: Just landing on the KDA front lawn now.

I quickly hung up, got up, and walked out of the room. Down the hallway my footsteps could be heard and the girls looked at me walk past them.

Ahri: Hey Y/N, we were gonna get some Chinese takeout, wanna join?

Me: Believe me, I'd love to, but duty calls.

The nine tailed woman immediately wasted no time making her way to me, and to my surprise, she kissed me on the cheek.

Ahri: Make sure to come back alive alright?

Me: Y-Yea, I will.

I turned around, put on my boots and pressed the elevator button. The ding of the elevator greeted me as I walked in and turned to face the door. Ahri stood there waving to me as I watched the doors close, my hand making a wave motion back to her. The ride down was uneventful as I got out and walked onto the front lawn. The helicopter greeted me as Marion was getting off it to get to me. He ran up to me and handed me my gear.

Marion: You know the plan?

Me: You told me a bit of it.

Marion: We're gonna hit them fast and hard. Search and destroy.

Me: Ahh, this should be fun.

We both got onto the chopper and it rose into the air. I could see Ahri & the rest of the girls on the balcony watching us before the copter turned and started heading away from the estate. I felt my phone buzz and seen a text appear.

Ahri: "You can't die until you repay me that date."

I smiled and put my phone away, now focusing on the mission.
