Neither would lie and say that the change in their relationship status wasn't a tiny bit weird at first. They've been good friends practically since the young woman arrived at Gibraltar. And now they were boyfriend and girlfriend. They were the same people, but it was conflicting to adjust this new title into their lifestyle. Their true feelings for each other were no longer a mystery. Moments of joking and playing around weren't so simple anymore; the teasing turned into heated kisses but nothing too extreme.

Not yet anyway.

Being together was very important to the both of them, so they wanted to take each step carefully. Yes, their lives were always at risk because of their duties as agents; however, they still did not want to treat this like it needed to be done right away before one of us gets killed.

They had more faith than that. This was serious. And it needed to be treated as such.

Not everyone accepted this match, that being Reyes, who showed signs of disgust, and Moira, who seemed rather indifferent to it all. She never cared for such pointless bonds in the first place. But other than that, their friends were glad. Most of them saw it coming a mile away anyway.

After their battle against Null Sector in Italy, less than one year had passed until the young recruit was eligible for a vacation. The gorilla had plenty of unused time off, so he decided to apply it during his girlfriend's leave of absence. By now, everyone within the organization had knowledge of the two being together. Jack, who was kind of weirded out but just went with it, had the duo swear that they'd keep the relationship a secret to the public, with the exception of loved ones.

The only person outside of Overwatch who knew for now was (S/N). About a month of being a couple, (Y/N) grew the courage to unveil the big news to her younger sister through a text first. (S/N) had a feeling they were close, but she didn't think she'd actually fall for the gorilla. She waited anxiously for her older sibling to pick up one day, expecting to only see (Y/N) until Winston scooted himself next to her in front of the laptop screen.

"Uh. Hi there," he said nervously.

".... Sweet baby Jesus," (S/N) replied, her eyes wide open. "You're actually dating THE Winston."

She's seen him in the cartoon and some promotional material, and not to mention how her older sister would talk about him during their calls. She wasn't surprised. But a gorilla, really? What about that sexy ninja cyborg?

Be that as it may, the awkward introductions came to pass, and the younger sibling grew a liking to the scientist very easily. She especially appreciated his help with her Chemistry homework. One day, (Y/N) had to scurry off for a moment, leaving them to stare at each other during another video call.

(S/N) smirked. "Hey Winstud, can I ask a question related to reproduction?"

"Go right ahead."

"Have you and (Y/N)... ya know?" she asked, teasing him with her right index finger repeatedly going in and out of a hole created by her other hand.

The blushing ape huffed in embarrassment, fixing his glasses. "Buh. Uh. Quite an i-inappropriate question, don't you think?"

"Oh, come on, I won't tell 'er that you told me. Did you guys do it yet or not?"
