When Winston is in this chaotic state, he cannot control his actions. He destroys anything in his path. Unless he is put down, it takes a bit of time for him to finally revert to normal.
That is, until he met you. The way Betty Ross is able to assuage the Hulk, that's how you are to him.

You were paralyzed in fear when you first did it. All of his rational thinking really does disappear when he's like that; however, somewhere in your heart you knew that he wouldn't hurt you.
You trembled as he approached your defenseless frame. The towering figure stopped just in front of you, causing you to hold your hands up. You fought the urge to close your eyes as you stared into his. They glowed a terrifying yellow; his skin emitting a red mist. Despite this, you held your ground and spoke to him gently.
"Winston? The... th-the bad men are gone now. Everything i-is okay. I'm here..." you soothingly stated, building courage to bring your palm to his large, armored chest.
He growled darkly, and it almost made you snap your hand away before his heavy breathing began to fade. His sharp eyes gradually turned to an expression of regret.
"(Y/N)?" he asked in a guttural voice.
You smiled softly, replying with, "Yeah, baby. It's me."
You examined carefully as his skin began to slowly change back to his usual navy blue. He started to slump forward before standing on all fours and closing his eyes. You caressed his cheek while he huffed through his nose. He leaned into your hand, your tender touch creating a wave of ataraxy for the ape.
You had tamed the beast.
