The Miracle of Science | Winston x Reader

· As Your Boyfriend/Husband

Some of these are pretty decent ingredients for their own chapters. I'd like to dive more into them, but focusing on too many ideas will burn me out. Little summaries will have to do for now.

· Winston is not the best when it comes to dates, but he tries. He usually takes you where you want to go. But you like to see him more engaged, so you let him decide. Besides dinner or the movies, he'll often take you out on "educational" dates such as history museums, science exhibits, and even the library. It isn't the most romantic, but he still keeps it sweet with a little flirting here and there, as well as buying you souvenirs. You also do learn a lot during these trips. But his favorite is to have a picnic at the park -- mostly because after the food is done, you two softly make out on the picnic blanket when no one's around.

· As stated in a previous chapter, Winston will use these nicknames: Dear, Honey, and Peanut. As a husband, I see him using My little moonlight. What nicknames would you give him? Monkey Boy? Fuzzy Wuzzy? HARAMBE?

· You're very beautiful to him, so you will catch him staring just like he used to before you got together. Only now, he doesn't look away and happily smiles at you. Blow some kisses his way, will you?

· It's in the scientist's nature to protect. So, it shouldn't come as a surprise of how overprotective he becomes when you turn out to be his girlfriend. You're inside his barrier at least 80% of the time during battles. It also became routine for him to interrupt your fights by diving in front of you and taking your enemies out. Eventually, you speak to him about this, and he does back off a little. You see it as an invasion of privacy at first, but you understand his request of Athena tracking your location and condition at all times when you're not with him.

· Kissing proves to be a bit challenging at first. He doesn't want to hurt you, so he usually lets you take the lead. The first-time you guys added tongue, he got a little too excited and nearly choked you by shoving his into your mouth (I am trying my best to keep this SFW, stop smirking/laughing/cringing behind your screen!). He's also developed a liking to gently biting your lip (again, calm down 😭).

· You spend a lot more time in his lab and the research facility with the other scientists ever since you became an item. You're very proud of your genius boyfriend; however, you did notice very early on that you couldn't really keep up with Winston's conversations with the other sciency-folk like Angela and Mei, so you'd just listen and pretend you weren't lost with their Einstein language. Winston also noticed this, and since he didn't want you feeling left out, he's asked everyone to include you in their discussions by using fewer fancy words. "Don't be afraid to ask questions either," he said to you.

· He's very understanding when it comes to your insecurities. You did help him with his: back when he thought you couldn't possibly have interest in a moon gorilla.

· His playful side grows twice as big. From carrying you around to even softly pinching your sides, his teasing becomes more physical than before. He's also grown a habit of randomly taking pictures of you and him, then he organizes them in a photo album. Every Christmas and New Year's, he likes to look back and RECALL all those great memories.

· When it comes to gifts, he still gives you flowers on the side. Every now and then, he'll give you something he's created in the lab. It could be something cute like a tiny bot that resembles one of your favorite fictional characters (and no, it can't be anybody from OW since they're... well, real in this story), or something practical like a new barrier for the battlefield.
