______________________________There is a story that has been heard by all. One about a Miracle who possesses an eye. Not just a regular eye. A magical one, at that. Some say that said eye can see the future. And can make any form of attack or defense against it powerless.
Even though it was mentioned in texts, books, and it even was connected to Greek Gods and Goddesses, no one believed it because there was no supporting evidence. There was a huge lack of documentation, and images.
Oh, and if you're interested in knowing what it was about, I'll be delighted to summarize.
It all began when Hades, the God of the Underworld, had fallen in love with Persephone, the Goddess of the Spring, and he had allegedly abducted her. It was said that the young Goddess adored Hades as much as he loved her.
The love they shared came to fruition when Persephone was with child one day as a result of their union. Hades couldn't be happier, his hunger for perfection only grew the same time the fetus inside his lover's body had grown.
After several months, a young Goddess was born. The baby's eyes and hair were both green, but in different hues. The little infant's gorgeous emerald hair and eyes were described in texts as one in a billion. They were different. Her left eye was a sea green tint, lighter than her right eye, the child's right eye was the same color as her Emerald hair.
The pair named said child, Silas.
Hades had made a decision as soon as he first beheld his daughter. The small child would be raised in the Underworld by him and Persephone and would become his successor. His sole heir. The Goddess of the Spring argued that they should raise their daughter on Earth and give her a normal childhood, but Hades disagreed. His daughter was anything but normal. Silas had a strange quality, something sinister and ominous that was unlike anything that should be handled lightly.
When Hades had told Persephone about what he had sensed within their daughter, she was hesitant at first, but reluctantly agreed about raising the child in the Underworld.
So they brought their daughter to the Underworld. The way they raised their child was unlike any other. Persephone was the kind and nurturing mother that every mortal had yearned for. Being encouraging and supportive in anything their child was interested in, but Hades was a somewhat strict father. Of course, he loved his daughter and supported Silas now and again, but he would only allow her to partake in things like sword fighting, archery, hand-to-hand combat, or any activity per sé under one condition.
Silas must excel in all fields.
Born to a distinguished pair, she stood above all others, it was her duty to win. That was planted in the young Goddess's mind starting at a young age. She continued to strive for success and perfection like how her father wanted her to. Most of the time, the young heir would be wrapped up in everything she had to excel in. Mathematics, Science, Literature, Earth's history, Earth's languages, Music, The Arts, Power manipulation, Kingdom savoir-faire, versing in letters and arms, and so on.
Anything to make her the perfect heir.
The only time she had the opportunity to breathe and relax was spending her free time with her mother, Persephone. The Goddess of the Spring allowed her to visit Earth to have fun, and to learn more about the planet of life, she allowed her daughter to be a child, to live a happy childhood. But for Silas, her childhood ended when she lost her mother at 10 years old. The last she heard of the incident involving her mother was because of a mysterious accident.
However, she was never allowed a respite as her father's strictness increased to the point where the more talents she mastered, the more she would be given to master. These made her grow unhappy.
However, Silas grew to be an unstoppable, absolute force of nature. Legend says that 3 years after Persephone's disappearance, she had unlocked a new ability of hers that Silas herself called, Unyielding Eye for the first time, allowing her to seek victory.
At the age of 13, after unlocking a new and powerful ability, she wasn't the same anymore. It was as if there were two people living inside her body.
What the young Goddess didn't know was that mortals on Earth called her "The Unyielding Miracle".
And so it was that mortals then and now spoke about said miracle, some folks laughed at the people who believed said folklore. But that's fine, what they don't know won't hurt them. Maybe.
There might be a lack of documentation, especially images or sculptures, but there was one thing that made mortals weary of the Unyielding Miracle.
The eyes.
