Chapter X

Author's note: Hi! Sorry for the sudden (and very late update). I had to do a lot of rewriting for this chapter and I do apologize for this.

I had a bit of trouble coming up with interactions between Silas and Lesso, and if you do wanna see a certain interaction between the two of them, please don't hesitate to message me here! Any ideas/suggestions are welcome!

This is going to be a very long chapter, so buckle up!

Also, for those of you who are still confused, Mads Mikkelsen is the faceclaim for Silas' father, Hades. Just imagine Mads with gunmetal eyes instead of brown eyes.

Anyways, on to the chapter!

DAYS HAVE PASSED and Silas' little crush on Lady Lesso grew like thorns. The former thought that it was just that, but something inside her was telling her that it will lead to something else. The way they would act around each other became a bit different ever since that night, there were more playful banters and more informal discussions if they weren't talking about the lessons they would teach.

Right now, Silas was straightening her blazer before she had planned to go to the main hall at an early hour when all the students are still asleep.

Or so she thought.

The dorm was filled with silence and the faint sounds of rustling from Silas' clothes, all of that was replaced when the door suddenly opened, alerting Silas and caused her to look at the doorway, her eyes were greeted by a very startled and panicked Dot.

"Silas! We n-need your help!" The curly-haired girl stuttered as she walked towards the taller student who furrowed her brows. "Dot? What happened?" Silas questioned approaching her.

"I-it's Hort."

"What about Hort?" Silas grew even more confused at the mention of their friend. "I-i'll explain on the way!" Dot rushed, grabbing Silas' wrist and pulling her outside, the two exited the room and the emerald-haired student made sure to close the door before they get far.

"They're at the dining hall." Dot informed Silas.

"What happened to Hort?" The latter asked as the two of them were speed-walking through the halls. Dot released a heavy exhale before speaking, "So, Hort wanted us to use a spell on him, one that would help activate his werewolf powers." She looked at the taller student to see if she was following what had happened, the latter only nodded at her but grew a hit suspicious of what really happened to Hort.

"Then what happened?"

"We accidentally gave him cat ears, whiskers, and a tail! He looks like a cat now!" Dot closed her eyes anticipating a negative response from the taller student, but all she got in return was Silas tilting her head at her.

The two of them entered the dining hall, and at their table, they spotted Hester and Anadil who was comforting Hort, and finally, the raven-haired boy who had cat ears and a tail.

Oh no.

As Dot and Silas approached them, the three turned around with smiles on their faces. And to Silas' surprise, Hort looked quite alright and he was holding a cake that had candles on it and then, they started to sing. Including Dot.

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you!" They sang even if they started at different keys, Silas finally processed their real plan and couldn't help but smile at their silliness.

Hort did have cat ears, a tail, and whiskers but his face didn't really resemble like that of a cat's.

All that just for this.
