A SMILE WAS plastered on Silas' face as she roamed the crowded halls of the school. She needed to get where she was headed quick, or there will be consequences. Yeah, right.

The emerald-haired student needed to head to Lady Lesso's study to give her the essays the third-years wrote for her subject. And yes, ever since they made up four days ago, Silas was back to assisting Lesso with teaching the higher years. The higher-years wouldn't have the heart to say it out loud, but having Silas back in discussions made them happy.

Unbeknownst to Silas who was doing her very best to avoid contact with other students, an albino second-year caught up to her despite her quick walking speed. Unlike her classmates, she knew exactly the reasoning behind Silas' absence in the past few classes.

"I assume the lovers' quarrel is over?" She smirked at the taller first-year, side-eyeing her and catching Silas already looking at her.

"What are you talking about?" Silas furrowed her eyebrows at the girl, her cheeks dusted with light pink at Luna's choice of words. "You two made up? You and Lady Lesso?" Luna almost scoffed at Silas' attempt to act dumb to avoid the subject.

"Yes, we talked things out, however, nothing is going on between me and Lady Lesso." Silas turned to look at her with seriousness in her eyes, turning to the left hallway with Luna beside her as she was nearing the Dean's study. "Oh please." Luna rolled her eyes at the pathetic cover-up.

"There had always been tension between the two of you whenever you teach. And the tension that I am talking about is the kind that not even Tedros'  Excalibur has the power to cut and lessen." The albino teased, but if you think about it, she was right. But Silas knew what she was implying.

"You're seeing things, Luna." Silas rolled her eyes as she shook her head, chuckling at the girl.

"I'm not blind nor stupid, Silas. I thought my chess game was enough to show you that."

"Yes, I'm aware of that. But she's a teacher, Luna. Not to mention, she's the Dean of our school." The emerald-haired student could see the door to the Dean's study, signing that they were near.

"So what? You're 18 now."

"That doesn't change the fact that I'm still a student." Silas turned to finally look at Luna, the two now stood in front of the door to Lady Lesso's study.

"That doesn't change things, you're already of age." Luna challenged, gesturing her hand dismissively while slowly stepping closer to Silas.

"Don't push it." The latter dared, stepping towards Luna with a stern look in her eyes as the second-year only gave her one back.

Silas and Luna's little stare down was interrupted by the creaking of the door, notifying them that it was being opened. By none other than Lady Lesso herself. The Dean's eyes immediately went to Silas, looking to her right and seeing Luna.

She cleared her throat at the sight of the two, this caused Silas to speak up first, but was quickly cut off by a jealous Lesso.

"Am I interrupting something?" The older woman asks with an arched eyebrow at them. Not giving the students a chance to speak, she continues, "Luna, don't you have places to be?" Lesso questions the second-year, her tone one of strictness and slight anger.

"O-of course, Lady Lesso." She lightly bowed her head in understanding, walking away from her office and leaving the redheaded Dean with Silas who was standing near the door, smirking at her as she walked away.

"Silas."

The sudden call for her made her alert, almost giving herself whiplash when Silas looked toward her redheaded Dean with raised eyebrows.
