louis rested his cheek on his folded arms and wiggled on his towel as the sun beat down on his back.

it's their second day of their trip to the bahamas and today louis really wanted to just lay out and tan. he never burned except for his little nose and cheeks no matter how much sunblock or protection he used. everywhere else would tan so nicely and not sizzle at all.

he just wished he could tan in the nude so that he didn't have funny little tan lines. he packed a bikini just for this, so his tan lines will thankfully be minimal. his bikini is a pretty royal blue with a white heart on his bum.

and harry is in love.

"do you want a pineapple, bun?" harry asked.

"no, thank you. at least not right now."

"they might be gone by the time you want one."

the smaller man sighed. "fine. give me two for good measure."

harry chuckled and set his bowl of pineapple chunks beside his husband. "you feeling good so far?"

"so good. i love the beach. can we move here?"

"sure."

"okay." louis munched happily on a piece of fruit, humming. "ooh, i like that."

"right? i'm obsessed. i think this may be the only thing i eat while we're here."

"fruit makes you taste good, they say," louis then rolled onto his back.

"no wonder why you're always so sweet."

the smaller man smirked and grabbed another piece from the bowl, reaching over to his husband. harry took a bite out of half of it, eyes still focused on the book in his lap. louis mentioned he liked to read by the ocean, so the younger man took a dabble at it. he has to agree. it's quite relaxing.

louis sat upright and finished off harry's pineapple bit. "think i may go get me a drink."

"you'd look really pretty with a margarita."

"yeah?"

"mhm."

louis grabbed his bathing suit cover and slipped the white netted material over his body. "i guess i'm getting a margarita then. do you want one?"

"i'm okay. thank you, though." harry dug through their beach bag and grabbed his wallet. he handed the smaller man his card. "don't rob me."

"you know i will." sliding his feet into his sandals, louis stood and bent over to kiss the top of harry's head. "i'll be back."

"'kay. loves you, be safe."

"i will. i love you."

harry flipped the page of his book and crossed his ankles, adjusting in his seat.

it's been a great two days so far. they went on a dinner cruise the night before to start their stay on the right foot, where they ate lovely seafood and admired the caribbean night sky. louis tried a smooth lobster bisque for the first time and was amazed. he nearly moaned out as soon as it hit his tastebuds.

after their cruise, they went swimming at their hotel and ended the night with a facetime call from niall telling them that shark has had a four day long temper tantrum. he thinks he's missing his dads a little too much. louis may or may not have made him put the cat on the phone so he could tell him he loved him and that he needed to behave for his uncle niall or else he won't get any more treats for the rest of the year.

louis returned slowly but surely with a margarita in his right hand. he nestled onto his beach chair this time instead of his towel that was laid out on the sand, giggling lightly to himself.
