"Bitch, what the fuck do you want, can't you see how early it is?" Alexia asks. I almost feel bad knocking on her door. She looks a mess. Her wig was beginning to slide back because the glue was dissolving. And it's obvious she didn't bother taking off her makeup before she went to sleep because it's all over her face, smeared and smudged beneath her eyes. Sis looks like a hot mess.
"It's seven in the evening and I brought pizza."
She blinks away her sleep and when she's looking at me more clearly I can see her hesitate. "And I brought drinks." I try meekly, holding up the pizza like it's a bribe. "C'mon you've been sleeping all day, I know you're hungry.
"I've been sleeping for just like three hours." She rubs her eyes. "But... I can't say no to pizza."
She steps aside so I can come in and I smile. Alexia's house is a mess but I didn't expect anything less. I shove away the stack of papers on her circular dining table and placed to food on top while she got us some plates.
"You're lucky I like you." She grumbles and plops on the chair. "And that I like this pizza." I do the same and we began eating. When she's out of her drowsy state she becomes nicer.
"So..."
"So what?" I ask with my mouth full.
"Cench. How did it go?"
God, why am I blushing at the sound of his name? I shrug though.
"I dunno what you mean, Lexi."
She smiles like she knows more than she's telling. I'm pretty sure she knows more than she's telling.
"I was there, you know?" She chews on her bite longer than usual and I try to keep a straight face as my mind races. Where exactly were you? God, if she saw me getting fingered by the superstar I'd die of embarrassment.
"Where?"
"That night at the store." She smiles while chewing. "When he asked yer name."
"You were there?!?"
"Duh, he would never approach you if I weren't there. He was staring at you the entire time and I was just begging him not to be creepy and just talk to you but you were being so cold to him." I sigh and shake my head in disbelief. "Then the next day I saw you on campus I thought perfect. Did you seriously not realize?"
"No!? The fuck?! You coulda told me earlier you know."
"But what fun would that be?!"
I don't say anything.
"Exactly. It all worked out didn't it?"
She laughs but somehow I can't do the same. "Okay well then he has zero game by the way!"
"He doesn't? Nah, I don't believe that. Girls be swooning for him though, so he's doin' sum' right." My heart swells like it had been caught in a fist by the idea that he awakens the same feelings he does to me with other girls. Am I seriously getting jealous?
"I tried playing Cupido but you gave him the cold shoulder, luckily you got some weed from him so my job was done and I had to retire."
"I guess..." I bite my tongue. "Did you know he makes music?"
"You didn't?"
"I mean, no! I didn't know it was that obvious!"
"Well, now you know. Makes him even more of a catch doesn't it?"
"I mean I guess, it has a lot of views..." I sigh. "I don't really know what to do with that information. But at least his shit is not bad. Back in my country when a boy would tell me he's a rapper that would be the end of it, honestly."
