This bitch—

The brightness of my phone stings my eyes and it takes a few blinks for my vision to refocus.
"The fuck?!" There is traces of sleep evident in my voice. I stare at the picture Malu had posted of us. One she made ten minutes after enterin'  my house.

Watching her likes climb up was worse than any fuckin horror movie I've seen. Her comments are floodin and I'm not sure if I have the balls to open 'em.

I swipe Instagram away.

No, I have to delete the app. If the shit is gone, it don't exist, innit?

I click my phone off after swiping away all twenty text messages from my little brother. I close my eyes and inhale a few breaths of patience. With my eyes closed, I extend my arm trynna feel for Malu.

I sigh when she's not in the bed with me, more outta relief than anythin' else, to be honest with you.

I click my phone open again, all I'm thinking about is Hanne. It doesn't help that her baby picture is starin back at me, holding both of her middle fingers in the air with a teary face. I shoulda changed it, I know.

I wonder if she'd seen Malu's post. I wonder how many group chats she'd send them to.

I slide my thumb over my screen, watching her teary face for a few seconds longer than I should've. Them emotions, I tried controlling bubble up again.

I should give her time.

What's meant for you will come back.

I throw the blanket off of me and carry my body to the bathroom. I hear the shower running and I cringe. The door is wide open when I arrive, the cabin door of it steamy, hiding the outline of her body.

She has her back aimed at me, pretending not to notice my presence when she washes her hair. I stand in the doorway for a few seconds, contemplating walkin away from this situation.

"Cench?" She calls out.

Too late.

"Wagwan." I mutter sleepily. Lazy steps carry me to the sink. I wash my face a few times and begin brushing my teeth, ignoring her permitting stare.

"You ain't getting in?" she asks, hinting at doing somethin' else than showering. That somethin' that didn't work last night. I couldn't get my shit up, blamed it on bein tired but... she's just not workin' for me.

Her wet footsteps aren't enough for me to turn my head but when she wraps her arm around me, I gasp. I spit toothpaste in the sink and try to get away from her slippery hold.

"Yo," I chuckle, it comes out a little awkward. "You're gettin' my shit all wet, man." She laughs, one that is forced, I can tell. It isn't as loud and ugly as Hanne's--...

I needa stop thinkin' bout that girl.

"What's up with you, tho?" I asked after rinsing and wiping my mouth. All the time she's giggling like a little idiot.
