Meredith Grey

I finally got over that stomach thing one hundred percent a few days ago. I finally convinced Derek to go to work but he was reluctant. I know he be there for a while he will be coming home in like an hour not even he has a hard time staying away from me I find it cute. I cleaned the house and took a nice shower so that felt good.

I jump in the bed and lay on Derek's side closing my eyes for a second before my phone starts to ring. I sit up slightly and answer the phone. "Hello?" I ask
softly into the speaker.

"Hello my love you are sounding much better" Derek's voice fills my ears and I smile.

"I am so much better" I say.

"That's great, I just wanted to call and tell you that I am almost home" he chuckles.

"Derek" I giggle.

"What?" he asks.

"I am fine at home you know you don't have to worry and be by me all the time" I say.

"But you are at home so I can be by you I can't be by you when you are working, I am taking advantage" he says.

"Okay fine fine I'll be waiting for you to come home" I giggle.

"Okay bye I love you" he says.

"Love you too" I say.

"Hey" he says.

"What?" I asks.

"You said it wrong" he complains.

"I love you too very much" I say.

"Good I love you more bye bye" he says and ends the call before I can argue with him.

I shake my head and set my phone down.

Soon after Derek comes through the door. I smile and walk up to him hugging him tightly. "You said that you did need me to come home yet you are attached to me as soon as I get home" he chuckles hugging me back.

"Oh shut up" I giggle as he rubs my back.

"Can you go get my glasses for me?" he asks.

"Yeah, are your eyes okay?" I ask.

"Yeah eye contacts just get annoying after having them in for too long" he says softly.

"Okay" I say kissing his lips softly and I head to our room.

I search our room for his glasses and I can't seem to find them. "Derek I can't find them!" I yell from our room.

"Keep looking I know I left them in there!" he yells back and I go back to looking for them.

I look around for a good ten minutes but I can't find them. I sigh and walk down stairs. There are candles leading down the stairs and the lights are dimmed.

I slowly walk down the stairs and follow the candles. I finally reach our living room and Derek is sitting on the couch with his glasses on. "Derek I spent the last fifteen minutes looking for those when you had them the whole time" I say.

"I had you go look for a reason" He says.

"What reason?" I ask standing in between his legs.

"This reason" He says pulling out a small box and he opens it with one hand as he sets down his book.

"Derek" I whisper.

"I was trying to figure out the best way to propose to you" he says softly.

"So Meredith Grey will you just marry me already it's been long enough" he says holding my hand with his free one.

"Yes I have been waiting for this god damn thing" I giggle as he slips in on my left ring finger.

"God do I love you" he smiles pulling me onto his lap kissing me.

I smile against his lips as he pulls my body closer to his and I place my hands on his face. "The ring feels nice against my cheek" he mumbles.

"Hm" I giggle pulling away.

"I have to call Cristina" I say pulling out my phone and I call Cristina so I can tell her the news.

"Hello?"

"Cristina you will never guess what happened, Derek proposed" I smile playing with his hair.

"Oh, well did you say yes?"

"Well duh, wouldn't I say yes?" I ask.

"Meredith, he is dangerous"

"Cristina what are you talking about no he isn't"

"Get out of the house"

"Cristina you are going crazy, can you just, think about what you are saying I'll talk to you tomorrow" I say hanging up on her.

"What just happened?" he asks.

"Nothing baby" I say kissing him.

"Hot engagement sex?" he asks.

"Hm that's not even a question" I say and squeal as he lifts me up and carries me to our room putting out candles as we make our way up. Cristina has no idea what she is talking about I have been together with Derek for years he is harmless and my big cuddle bear, definitely not dangerous. My big baby is all he is.
