Chapter 3

Derek Shepherd

"Nick Marsh correct?" I ask sitting down and grabbing a newspaper and slipping in my reading glasses.

"Uh yeah" he nods cautiously sitting across from me.

"Meredith has mentioned your name a few times" I say looking up at him but keeping my head down.

"All good things I hope" he chuckles.

"I wouldn't say that" I say under my breath.

"What was that?" he asks.

"Don't worry about it I'm just here to set things straight with you" I say putting the newspaper down and standing up.

I put my glasses away as I walk over to him. I tower over him as he sinks into the couch. "What things?" he asks nervously.

"Why don't you leave Meredith alone she doesn't have to listen to you, you Dr. Marsh are not her boss, you are just an arrogant man who is jealous of Meredith's skills, so why don't you stay away from her or I will end you" I say harshly.

"Who do you think you are?" he says standing up.

"You really don't want to know the answer to that" I say.

"Oh but I do" he says.

I push him against the wall choking him. I punch him but not enough to make any severe damage. "I'm you're worst nightmare, to say the least" I tell him.

He looks at me with fear in his eyes. "Now, this never happened because if for some reason it did you are dead, you are going to tell Meredith that you are transferring to a different hospital far away okay" I say.

"Okay" he breathes.

"Good" I say stepping away from him.

He stands there staring at me. "You heard me, get going" I say gesturing to the door.

He rushes out of the room leaving me all alone. I sigh and walk out of the room and start heading to leave the hospital. "Derek" I hear Meredith's voice.

I turn around and see her smiling and before I know it she's in my arms. "Hello love" I smile kissing her temple.

"I love you I love you I love you" she smiles holding my face in her hands and kissing me deeply.

"I love you too" I grin wide as she pulls away.

"He is leaving" she sighs happily.

"He is leaving you will never run into him again he is going far far away, across the country, you'll never deal with him again baby" I say softly caressing her hips.

"I don't know how you do it honey, but keep it up because it makes my life better, you being in my life makes it better and I just love you" she says wrapping her arms tightly around me.

"I love you too my angel more than words can describe, but I have to go to work now" I frown.

"I have to work all day but tomorrow, tomorrow we celebrate" she grins.

"Tomorrow we celebrate" I nod kissing her gently before letting go of her and headed to leave once again.

I feel her arms wrap around me from behind. "For good luck" she murmurs into my back.

"Have a good day love" I smile softly.

"You too" she says I kiss her once again before she gets paged and I leave.

I go to my office and start catching myself all up on Dr. Nick Marsh.
