It was a beautiful, sunny day in Ann Arbor. Not cloudy or rainy. It was...nice. Nice enough weather for Zubin to just take a stroll in the park. But the thing was, by the park there was a cemetery. It kinda ruined the whole "taking a nice walk in the park" thing for him since you'd turn around and you'd see a literal cemetery not too far away.
Despite sort of ruining the whole thing for him he still enjoyed it and had a nice walk. After maybe walking half the park, Zubin decided he was going to sit down and text his friends, maybe for them to meet up in the park or something. He sat on a wooden bench and got out his phone. But as he reached for his back pocket where his phone was he saw a black stick.
Wait - not a black stick. A black eyeliner pencil with it still in its packaging. Brand new. Zubin looked around, who the hell would leave an eyeliner pencil on a bench? Maybe a person dropped it or something but it was carefully placed vertically next to where he was sitting. It somehow hadn't rolled through the bench's wooden gaps. Huh...
Since he was fully interested in it now, Zubin picked up the eyeliner pencil and examined it. It didn't have a brand name on it. It seemed more as if it was painted out of the design. But it was a waterproof and gel one. On the bottom, it told the color name but it was so small that Zubin had to flick his long (emo) hair out of his eyes to look at it closely. He squinted.
"001: The Blackest Black" The sticker on the bottom read.
"Wha- What type of color name is that? That's so weird." Zubin quietly muttered to himself.
But as he examined it more he felt...this odd feeling. It was like a rush of pressure along with edginess? Sadness? Zubin couldn't explain it but it made him feel dark. No. That wasn't how to describe it. He felt emo. But as soon as the thoughts came they left because he thought of the people who would make fun of his hair; they called it emo. He couldn't succumb to what they called him! He couldn't become that.Zubin tried to brush off his thoughts but the word "emo" and the eyeliner were still in his mind. He couldn't get them off of it. So, he decided to distract himself by calling one of his friends. Joe. As they talked on the phone he kept examining and looking at the eyeliner pencil. When they stopped talking he was gonna go hang out with him now, and was gonna leave the park and go to Joe's house. He set it back down on the bench.
He got up and tried to leave but something held him back. It was the fucking black eyeliner pencil. It was still there and now was pointing towards him. Maybe why it moved was because of the wind, but who knew? He had the most pushiest urge forming to take it. As he tried to turn away, he was stopped by a voice. A voice inside his head...?
"Take it..." The voice whispered. It sounded like Zubin himself but in a much more monotone voice.
A voice that sounded like him? Obviously COULDN'T have been him! He looked around once again to see if anyone was playing with him but no one was. Zubin huffed, took the eyeliner, and walked off to Joe's house. Fucking weird. But he did gain a brand new eyeliner for free. It wasn't like he was gonna use it though, right?

It was now 2 days after Zubin found the eyeliner. Today was band practice since it was Saturday! Yay! The four were all at their rehearsing place (don't know where they would rehearse) getting ready for rehearsal. Only the four of them. Zubin was late by 10 minutes. It gave the band extra time to mess around, but they were also left wondering where their bassist was. Hmm...
After a few minutes of wondering where he was, Zubin busted through the door. Well, he actually kicked it down. There Zubin stood with his hands on his hips with the most emoest look ever. He had heavy & smudged eyeliner with a fake lip ring. Of course, his hair was still the same. He had short black & grey arm warmers (since the long sleeves of his blouse were rolled up) along with some bracelets, and his fingernails were decorated with black nail polish.
He looked VERY emo. Let's just say that the band was shocked about his emoification. Not yassification, emoification. Zubin looked different than the rest of the tallies which kinda made him more unique as if he wasn't wearing a tie along with the others. But he just stood there, now holding his bass in hand with sort of a sass. He didn't stand there for long as he walked up to his place & his microphone stand.
"Uh..." Joe muttered. "What's with your new look, Zubes?" he questioned with a weirded-out look on his face.
