Soohee's POV

I've been casually walking around the building all through morning, waiting for him to arrive. I'm almost 100% sure that he's the one who's gonna turn up considering how he went to that exhibit in Amsterdam.

I was about to go back to the office to eat lunch when I noticed a tall man entering the exhibit hall. I got nervous all of a sudden. Is that him?

I took a deep breath and decided to follow him. It is now or never.

But it is easier said than done.

My feet felt heavy as each step I take gets me closer to the entrance on where I saw the man disappeared. I felt like my heart was in my throat, I couldn't breathe properly.

When I reached the doorway, I took a deep breath and fixed my hair and dress. Clutching my bag tighter, I went inside.

I almost did a double take when I saw him. There's no mistaking it. Even on his side profile, I could definitely tell that that man is the same man who introduced himself as Namjoon to me that night.

I saw him staring at each art piece curiously. He reads the description and I saw him nod once in a while. I was still rooted by the doorway as he went further in the hall. I tucked an imaginary loose hair behind my ear before I decided to walk towards him.

Each step was equivalent to a thump in my chest. Am I ready to see him?

I was just a few steps away from him. He might have sensed my presence and I saw him turned around. I saw how his eyes went wide when he saw me. Does he remember me?

"Soohee..." I saw his mouth moved and even though it was just a whisper, I heard him say my name clearly.

I stopped walking and took another deep breath.

"Namjoon...Hi. We meet again."

I saw his facial expression changed from shock to disbelief then to confusion.

"W-hat are you doing here?" He stammered after a while.

I reached for my ear and scratched it softly.

"I...uh...Ahm...I was the one who invited you here." I answered. I saw his brows furrowed even more.

"What? I don't understand..." He took a step towards me. "Did you plan this? Do you know about me all along? If yes, why...just now?"

Because of our proximity, I had to look up to meet his eyes. I shook my head mentally.

How did I get into this situation? I was so fine being a single parent. And I'm feeling guilty. This man doesn't know his life is about to change.

"I don't know how to start...but can you come with me? I need to talk to you." I spoke softly, still unsure if this is the right thing to do.

He was about to answer when his phone rang. He excused himself before he answered it.

"Yes, I understand. Alright, I'm coming back." I heard him say. I saw him sigh as he ended the call. He looked at me with a disappointed face. "Not gonna lie, I didn't expect this at all. I would want to stay and talk but I need to go. I'm sorry."

"I understand." I whispered. Maybe it's for the better. Now that he's in front of me, I suddenly want to back out.

"Let's talk another time. Can I get your number?" He offered me his phone. Reluctantly, I punched in my number and gave it back to him. I heard my phone ring. I pulled it out from my bag and saw an unknown number.

"That's my number. Please save it." I nodded at him. "I'll text you as soon as possible. I just need to see my schedule."

"No, that's okay. I--" I swallowed hard. "Maybe it's better not to--"
