Chapter 19: Officially

Namjoon's POV

"Thanks for coming." Bang PD as soon as all seven of us were seated inside the conference room.

He called for an emergency meeting because of the latest news that had been circulating around the globe.

And that is all thanks to me. 

"I know you already know why we're having this meeting. I'm sorry but things had gotten out of hand. We just recovered from Jin's announcement of his engagement. Then the back to back scandals Jungkook had been part of, which weren't done yet if might add...and now this. Jungkook, Namjoon, anything you want to say?"

I glanced at Jungkook who stayed quiet, head bowed down. I sighed.

"First of all, I really am sorry for putting you all through this. I've been avoiding this because I know the impact it will make on our team. But you know how some things are not in our control. I should have been more careful..."

"We're not only talking about the group and company's status, Namjoon. We're also talking about the safety and privacy of your family. We do not know how ARMY and other people would react..."

The members remained quiet as I looked around them.

"Soohee's parents had increased their security, especially for Junseo. Some reporters had already acquired information on where he takes classes. We already talked to the school and they promised to take care of the situation the best they could." I shared. "What I'm also concerned about is the business side of this---"

"What's done is done. What I want to know now are your plans. More so now that even your enlistment is being questioned. I know you already talked about doing it this year starting with Jin but when do you plan on announcing this? Also, Namjoon, how do you want us to address this? The issue with your family?"

"I was thinking of not making an official announcement yet, not until the election is over. But Soohee pointed out that if I don't make a stand regarding my involvement with the elections, people will continue speculating and spreading false information. But if I have to do this, shouldn't I say something about the enlistment as well?"

"Hyung...whatever you decide on, we're here for you." Jimin suddenly said. I gave him a brief nod.

"I think we're ready to announce the enlistment. We've been getting ready for all our contents, the comeback album has its own schedule, our individual projects are already in the works...I think moving forward, we just need to be honest in everything. ARMY deserves that." Yoongi said. 

I saw Jin hyung nodding with the rest.

"Is June still your target date to enlist, Jin?" Bang PD asked.

"Yes, PD nim." 

"I respect that but we received news that you were named as the official ambassador for the bidding of 2030 World Expo in Busan. What do you think about this?"

"Should we do a free concert? Before we enlist?" Hobi suggested.

"But that will push back Jin's enlistment date." Bang PD pointed out.

"Why, when shall we hold the concert?" Jin hyung asked.

"We have yet to decide on the date but since you all know how much planning we put in our every concert, I don't think we can do it before June." Bang PD answered.

"Let's do it, hyung..." Taehyung said.

"I really don't want to start my training during winter, guys..." Jin hyung said, falling into deep thought.

"I will go with you, Jin hyung..." Jungkook said all of a sudden. All eyes turned on him. 

"JK, what are you saying?" Jimin asked.
