Soohee's POV
I don't know if I should thank Ji-ah or not. Her timing was impeccable. If she hasn't called, I honestly don't know what would have happened between Namjoon and I on that bed.
I'm beginning not to trust myself. Not when he's around.
"Where would you like to eat?" He suddenly asked, breaking the awkward silence hanging inside his car.
"I'm craving for some Italian food tonight." I answered him.
"Alright, pasta it is." He agreed. "How's Jun-seo? Is he still crying?"
As if on cue, Ji-ah sent me a message:
Ji-ah: He fell asleep while crying.
Soohee: Oh, my poor baby... did he eat dinner?
Ji-ah: He had a heavy snack & drank his milk...
Soohee: Okay, I'm on my way.
Ji-ah: You don't have to go home right away. He's already asleep so...why don't you have a dinner date with Namjoon oppa? Are you still together? 🤣
Soohee: We're actually gonna take Jun-seo and have dinner together. But since he's already sleeping, I think we'll just cancel it.
Ji-ah: No, unnie! Don't do that! Go! Eat with oppa!
Soohee: Ji-ah!!!
Ji-ah: Come on, unnie!
I decided not to reply and looked at Namjoon who was actually watching me as I was chatting with my sister.
"Errr, Ji-ah said Jun-seo is already asleep..."
"Is that so? Hmm...do you want to go home or let's have dinner together?"
"Ahmmm.."
"I mean since we're already out. Might as well. But we don't have to, if you don't like." He said uneasily.
"Hmm, okay. Let's have dinner. I'm already hungry, actually." I told him. He smiled at me.
"Do you have a restaurant in mind?" He asked.
"No. You? Do you know a good Italian restaurant nearby?"
"I actually do. Alright, let's go there." He said then called the restaurant to make a reservation. "We're lucky we got a table."
I nodded and smiled at him.
We both remained silent on the way to the restaurant. He occasionally checks on his phone, replying to messages. I, on the other hand, asked for my driver to go home already.
"I'm sorry. There are just so many questions for me." He apologized.
"Oh, no, it's okay. It must be tough to be the leader." I commented.
"Indeed. But it's all good. I mean, this is the life that I've chosen." He laughed awkwardly revealing his dimples. "Oh, we're here..."
I looked out of the car's window as it slowed down. The driver parked in front of the entrance and Namjoon helped me get down the car.
"Thanks." I mumbled.
A server ushered us to our table and handed the menu. I looked over Namjoon. He looked serious going through the pages.
"I'll have the Spaghettoni, Grilled Hanwoo, and the Tiramisu for dessert." I told the server and glanced at Namjoon who looked up to say his order, too.
"Mine would be Pumpkin Ravioli, Baked Lamb, and Dark Chocolate Profiteroles." He said.
The server repeated our orders and bowed before going.
