Chapter 18: Outlook

Namjoon's POV

As much as I was happy with what happened that weekend, problems came rushing in as soon as the new week started.

JK's scandal with IU had been making such a great buzz and it seemed that the whole country was on it.

We were all in distress. The members were all worried for him and most especially for Iseul who was now in the hospital. The company was already coming up with something to clear all the allegations.

But JK was a total mess. I don't know what will happen to him and Iseul. Yoongi hyung told us what Iseul witnessed in JK's studio.

And then, to make things a little more worse, news about Soohee and her childhood bestfriend Sehun began circulating, too. The media was speculating that he is Junseo's father. I'm pissed off, of course, and I couldn't even do anything about it.

Soohee was also busy with her upcoming exhibit which will open this weekend. We only talked briefly about Sehun's involvement. She was actually not worried about it, shrugging it off.

"Oh, Nam, that should be the least of our worries you know." She said when I told her about it. "It's an advantage for us. People won't be able to think that it's really you."

"That's my point yeobo! Junseo is my son and I don't want other people thinking that his father is another man."

"Why, are you ready for people to know that you're with me and we have a kid? That you're a father now?" She implored.

"I...y-yes?"

"See? You're not yet ready, Namjoon." I cleared my throat and pulled her to me.

"I am, yeobo. It's just that once it's out in the open, they will not only go after me. They will be going after you and Junseo. I don't want to put my son through that."

"I hate it, too, Nam. I don't know why people make things such as this a big deal."

"I know..."

"How are you?" She held my chin up.

"What do you mean?"

"Jungkook?"

"I don't know yeobo. He didn't leave the hospital and Iseul just got discharged. I'm worried about them."

"Hmmm. Try not to worry too much, okay? It won't be good for you."

I nodded at her.

"How about that Sehun---"

"The news will die down on its own. Let it be yeobo." She gave me a quick kiss. "Are you going to attend the opening of the exhibit?"

"Of course, yeobo. Junseo and I will be there."

"What? Are you sure? The press will be there."

"We can go after they leave?"

"Hmm, alright. Let's just see then."

The days that followed had been totally hectic. Soohee was coming home late everyday to make sure everything's in place before the opening so I had to go home early to take care and bond with Junseo even if Ajumma was with him.

But I also had to deal with the members. We became more anxious when Iseul decided to break things off with JK. He's in a slump right now and we don't know how to comfort him.

I tried calling Iseul but she was really dead set with her decision. I didn't want to bother her more because technically, it's still between her and JK. And we have to respect that. We have to respect her decision. We're just so devastated with what's happening.
